Tamarack had a "sweet" time at National Church Residences in Ravenna as we celebrated National Strawberry Parfait Day! We created a delicious, refreshing dessert with fresh strawberries and a heavenly mix of light cheese and whipped cream, topped with strawberry cookies. It was a fun, creative time! A big thanks to Lynn Hermensky for her wonderful talk on the benefits of laughter. Enjoying friends, laughter, and a delightful treat made for a perfect day!

If there is one thing our residents LOVE, other than Bingo, it's crafts. So today, we set up our crafting station with tye dye! They had a lot of fun making their own unique t-shirts.

Tamarack Ridge sponsored a healthy salad bar for the Portage Senior Center where everyone enjoyed a salad with the fixings and ice cream for dessert, followed by some "summer" trivia!

This week, Tamarack Ridge is celebrating all their hard-working STNAs. Without the amazing care provided by the STNAs at Tamarack Ridge, Tamarack would not be able to provide so many residents with a safe, loving home. We had the opportunity to interview a few of our STNAs to dig deeper into what this career path means to them.

What a way to start off the summer and celebrate Father's Day and Flag Day! Streetsboro Parks and Recreation sponsored and prepared a big BBQ for 70 seniors in the community at their new center. Tamarack Ridge accompanied all the fixings with a "to-go pie" from Gardners in Akron. It has been a tradition for many years and is extremely popular. Pies bring smiles! 😃

This Memorial Day, we've adorned the outside of our nursing home with American flags, a symbol of remembrance and gratitude for those who have served. Join us in paying tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

We were honored to host a memorial service for those who have passed away. We want to thank all of those who came out today to honor those loved ones. Here at Tamarack, once family always family. ❤️

It was a fun week to remember. Our residents and staff had a blast dressing up and playing games during Nursing Home Week!

We treated our teammates to a yummy lunch and milkshakes as part of our nursing home week activity. Thank you everyone for all you do. Go Tamarack family!

Tamarack Ridge was happy to host the Streetsboro Senior Center Mother's Day Luncheon! Thank you, Crystal, for the wonderful sandwiches and potato soup. After that, we enjoyed some competitive chair volleyball games. Happy Mother's Day to all!

Stow Senior Center was extremely appreciative of the Cinco de Mayo lunch that Tamarack Ridge provided. Everyone was decked out in festive attire and we all had a lot of fun playing many games! A big thank you to Kathy, Cindy, and Valerie. Tamarack Ridge is so fortunate to work with you all!

Elvis was in last week to dazzle the residents with his songs and dance moves!

Nothing like a drum fit class to kick off our Friday and shake off all that stress! Our residents loved it!

Wow... what a day! A total eclipse of the sun! The town of Streetsboro celebrated in a big way. It was estimated 600 people that showed up to view the eclipse. Tamarack Ridge was happy to help with the event with special "Eclipse" bags. Thank you to Streetsboro for bringing many together to witness this once-in-a-lifetime event! 🌞
