Goodmorning and happy 😆 No better way to begin July than to introduce y’all to another member of our movement, Nathan Glassic! Nathan is a rising junior, majoring in architecture with a construction management minor. His hometown is Butler, PA and he’s a part of the CAED community group!

Q : How have you seen God’s faithfulness through college?
A : “I’ve seen God’s faithfulness from the very start of when I became part of Cru. The community, love, and peace that came from being surrounded by Christ centered and Christ driven group of believers was the answer of a million prayers. Since the time I’ve joined I’ve found teammates, mentors and family that shine the light of Jesus wherever they go. God was worked wonders in my life, and the lives around me and with Cru being a significant vessel I am incredibly grateful to be apart of this family.”

“How have you seen Gods faithfulness through college?”

In college, I’ve witnessed God’s faithfulness through the amazing and supportive community that surrounded me! From encouraging friendships to mentors in discipleship who guided me through challenges, each person became a vessel through which I experienced God’s love and guidance firsthand! Kent Cru has changed my life :)

Hey Kent Cru, we’re back with another for you; let’s kick off June with Jack Walker! Jack is a rising junior, majoring in musical theater with a business minor. His hometown is Saxonburg, PA and he’s a part of the Tuesday night men’s community group!

Q : How have you seen God’s faithfulness through college?
A : “I have seen God’s faithfulness specifically through community. I have never really ‘heard’ or ‘felt’ God before I learned that he is everywhere — most noticeably in community. I also experience His faithfulness when I release control with trying to fix myself. It’s an endless cycle pushed today that we can work hard enough to be good enough — but through Him and trusting in His timing is the only peace I experience.”

Tonight is our THIRD Summer Cru! We will be continue to meet in the pavilion area at Riverwood Chapel : 1407 Fairchild Ave, Kent, OH 44240 at 7pm. Summer Cru is an amazing way for students around the Kent area to continue reading the Bible over summer and connecting through fellowship! We also hang around afterwards for some fun activities 🤩 hope to see you there!

Q : How have you seen God’s faithfulness through college?
A : “The past six months of my life have been quite difficult and many things can seem confusing. I’ve been blessed to see God’s faithfulness through amazing fellowship at Kent Cru as well as growing a personal relationship with Him! To know that I am never truly alone has been one of my largest prayers answered.”

We can’t believe it’s already the last week of classes!!! To celebrate the end of our semester, we’ll be having an End of Semester party on Friday, May 3rd at 6pm.

Hey Kent Cru! Back from spring break & GUESS WHAT DAY IT IS… that’s right, our favorite: TAKEOVER TUESDAY! Meet Justin Rutherford! Justin is a senior nutrition major & he is from Braceville, OH. He helps to lead the commuter study on campus.

How have you seen God’s faithfulness throughout college?
“I have seen God’s faithfulness through the people he’s put in my life that challenge me everyday, the opportunities that I have to share Gods words, the missions trips I have been able to go on, and all the answers to prayer no matter how big or small the request.”

This past week a team of students from our movement had the opportunity to visit the Dominican Republic and share the gospel!

Our team worked with Filter of Hope, an organization that uses the gift of water filters as a representation of the way the Lord cleanses us.

Kent Cru delivered 71 filters across the Dominican, shared the gospel with 146 individuals, and prayed for four individuals who chose to give their lives over to Christ!

We are so blessed as a movement to have so many students that feel lead to share their faith in bigger and bolder ways, even if it means stepping out of their comfort zones (or to another country!)

If we can fully trust in the Lord and proclaim our faith to strangers across the world, what’s stopping us from doing the same on Kent’s Campus!

Good morning & a very happy 🤩!! TODAY we are joined by our friend, Tim Gerent! Tim is a senior Architecture major. He is from Westlake, Ohio and leads the CAED community group on Tuesday nights.

How have you seen God’s faithfulness throughout college?
“I have seen God’s faithfulness through my ever changing and busy schedule of college in multiple ways. One of the most convicting ways is when i lose sight of Him and haven’t been giving time to grow in my faith or listen, He is always there, to ground me and remind me that He never left me. And that is something I’ve only ever experienced through my relationship with God.”

We are most definitely looking forward to spending our Tuesday with Tim! Be sure to stay tuned into our story & get to know Tim a little bit better today.

How have you seen God’s faithfulness throughout college?
“I’ve seen God’s faithfulness in the way that he has provided loving friendships for me in college, as well as guiding me through difficult times of uncertainty with my future. Even though college can be overwhelming, finding rest in the Lord is so, so helpful and amazing!!“

“God has been able to bless me with a loving community, amazing roommates, and allowing me to pursue my lifelong dreams.”
