Dairy Goats and milking equipment for sale

After a lot of years of milking, we are sadly shutting down the dairy. Our herd, stands, milking equipment, and cheese processing equipment are all going up for sale. We run a herd we are proud of and have been improving for 15 years. We are keeping some of our dear older women, but the rest are all looking for forever homes as milkers, pets, lawnmowers, and/or new best friends.

Forsyth Foodworks

A thoughtful article on the food cooperative movement and the communities, stakeholders, and individuals these co-ops are trying to serve better.

“That’s the thing we’re learning at the Seward Co-op. The work is always the work, it’s never going to be, ‘Oh, we’ve arrived, and we are done.” And yet she’s optimistic about the co-op’s work and what it represents for the food justice movement. “This project gives me hope. People of color can build and own cooperative grocery stores. It’s going to happen.”

New website is live! The transfer process has taken our email down temporarily while it is transferred to the new provider, but that should be back up in a jiffy. In the mean time, check out the new digs, follow our Instagram, or browse some of the great goat cheese recipes on our Pinterest. We'll be back to emailing in no time.

Little Frosty had a rough start, 2 years ago today. She came early, tiny, and cold, so she spent her first week in our bathroom on a heating pad in a pulled-out vanity drawer. Soon, she started walking, then bouncing. Then, she was ready to move in with her brothers and sisters outside. This week was Frosty's second frozen birthday week in a row, but this year she'll enjoy some warm sun for her actual birthday day (70 degrees!). Happy Birthday Frosty!
