Please keep your canine friends safe and help prevent spreading by avoiding areas with other unknown dogs such as dog parks. If you do notice anything unusual with your pets health we are here to help♥️

Recently, a canine respiratory illness has made the news. While we still have not identified a specific pathogen for this illness, we do know that respiratory pathogens are very contagious and are transmitted via droplets in the air.

There are two simple ways to protect your pet from this disease:

💉 Keep vaccinations up to date (if you are unable to verify, please contact your veterinarian)
🐶 Avoid interaction with unknown pets or pets who frequently travel/board

If daycare or boarding environments are something you can't avoid, please see your veterinarian to see what additional vaccinations may be needed to protect your pet. The same goes if you are unable to verify your pet's vaccinations are up to date.

We're happy to see you at one of our locations - many of which have same-day availability: https://caraveterinary.com/locations/

🐶🤧 Allergies can be a bummer for our furry friends, but did you know that three things in particular could be causing your pet’s allergies?

Here are the top three common causes of pet allergies:

1️⃣ Fleas: Pets with flea allergies are usually sensitive to a component found in flea saliva. Make sure to keep your pet on a regular flea prevention regimen!

2️⃣ Environment: Inhalant allergies caused by grasses, pollens, molds, or other inhaled allergens can cause pets to have allergic reactions.

3️⃣ Food: Although pet food allergies are uncommon, food sensitivities can still cause allergic reactions in some pets. These allergies are often caused by proteins such as chicken or beef.

🍗🚫 Contrary to popular belief, grain-free foods may not be the best choice for pets, as they could potentially be dangerous. If your pet is showing signs of allergies, talk to your vet to rule out food sensitivities and determine the best course of treatment.

Oh, owner of mine, so dear to my heart,
You are my constant, from the very start.
With every wag of my tail and every bark,
I promise to be with you, come rain or dark.

You feed me treats and give me belly rubs,
And listen to me when I need to express my love.
You hold my paw and rub my ears my tears,
And calm me down when I'm full of fear.

From morning walks to late-night snuggles,
You always make me feel like I have the best cuddles.
I may not be able to speak your language, but I know,
You understand me, and that's why I wag my tail so.

So here I am, your faithful pup,
Writing this letter to show you my love.
Thank you for being my companion and friend,
Together until the very end.
