Happy 17th Birthday to our sweet sweet Jerry!!!

This dog was living in Moses Lake but the owner was told she couldn't have him where she lived. She gave the dog to a friend/relative that lives in Othello and they decided they didn't want the dog.
They came out here but we couldn't take it in at that time due to our long waiting list and no space. The original person said these people were told by someone and we don't know who said it, but to just dump the dog somewhere and guess where it ended up?
The original owner drove to the area here to see if they could find him but was unsuccessful.
One of our staff was driving north on Reynolds Road near the shelter and saw this dog limping as it walked down the middle of
the road so they slowed down and it took off into a field. Earlier one of the staff walking a dog saw him hiding in another field near by. We eventually spotted him near the fairgrounds and recognized him which is how we were able to contact the original owner. The sightings over the last few days have declined unfortunately.
We are doing everything we can to find him and get him to safety.

Meet Brighton, Kingston & Miley!

🐾 Brighton - German Shepherd Mix. He loves to play with other large dogs. He will chase and wrestle all day long. A young dog playmate would be great for him. He barks to protect the house only, not an excessive barker. He will also bark if his foster people return home because he is happy. He also cries when he's happy. Brighton gets sick on long car rides, but enjoys the car and going places. A small drive is fun for him. Brighton is sensitive and wants to make his people happy.

🐾 Kingston - Black Labrador. He loves to carry toys around. He will fetch for hours and knows "give". He definitely knows the word "ball". He is now crate trained and sleeps quietly all night. Kingston loves to smell things and investigate everything. He loves doing anything at all with his foster family. Kingstons favorite is to be around his people, and to have toys to play with.

🐾 Miley - Black Lab / Bull Terrier Mix. She is a friendly and polite girl. She loves other dogs. She is very good in the house and just sits next to her people. She loves water and attacks the hose. She is a good watch dog and doesn't bark too much.

🐾🐾🐾 All 3 of the dogs are excellent watch dogs. They bark when it is appropriate only. None of them are escape artists. They mostly respect pet gates indoors. All 3 are great listeners and respond immediately. All 3 are fully house trained. They have met several new dogs and get along great with them right away. Working on leash manners. One on one walks are best. They are all good house dogs and only chew on their toys. They love each other and play well.

Meet Cleo!

Cleo is a 9-12 month old 42 lb female. She was found abandoned in May 2024 in rural Franklin County, WA and is currently in foster care. The veterinarian believes she's German Shepherd with a possible mix of one or more of the following: Rottweiler, Beagle, Labrador, some type of Hound.

Cleo is very loving, kind and very smart. She’s not a barker and is a quick learner who recently taught herself to fetch on her own. Her foster mom has an 8 YO male dog at home and says Cleo does excellent playing with and being around her dog. Cleo loves her chew toys but she isn’t an aggressive chewer. Cleo is a young and spunky little girl and her foster mom feels she would do best with an active person and/or a family with kids.

Cleo is in excellent health, spayed, microchipped and is current on all of her vaccines. Cleo will capture your heart and you just won't be able to help yourself falling in love right away with this very sweet and loving little girl. Cleo is currently getting some professional dog training while staying at her foster home.

💙Meet Cosmo! Looking for a Forever Home!
🐾PLEASE SHARE!!🐾.

Cosmos, aka Cody, is a Border Collie/ Pittie Mix, who came in as a stray. This poor guy came into rescue after being found at someone's house in the country. It was not until his second walk that we noticed that he actually had an injury near his boy parts that was bleeding, and oozing infection. The poor guy kept rolling over trying to show us. We rushed Cody to our pet emergency, where it was determined he needed a complicated ablation neuter surgery, to clean out all the infection. At first we had thought maybe he had been neutered, and it had just gotten infected. But after the surgery which was several thousand dollars, it was determined that he had self cut or accidentally neutered himself on something, as there were no existing stitches etc.

As you can imagine, spending nearly $3,000 dollars for surgery to clean him up was not cheap for the rescue, but in our eyes it was so worth it. This guy is the sweetest dog. He is one of the most adoptable dogs we have in rescue right now. He is a gem! Whoever adopts him is going to be so lucky! He gets along with everyone, kids, dogs, and is untested with cats, but we think he would probably do okay with cats also. He is just about finished healing from his surgery, and is ready for a home!

He will need to be active in his new home, but he is so calm and chill. If you are in the house, he will just do what you are doing.The best word to describe Cody is loyal and calm. He would do awesome with someone who works from home and has a fenced yard! Playdates, hikes, runs, and then come home and crash out on the couch is totally his style! He is already neutered and ready to be your best friend! The best word to describe Cody is loyal and calm.
