Sunrise Elementary School

A state of the art education facility opened in August 2006 to over 1,000 students in K-5.

We are part of the School District of Osceola County in Central Florida. Our student body encompasses every continent on earth, except Antarctica and well over a dozen languages are spoken here! Our diversity offers challenges, but it also offers us opportunities not available in most schools.

Our Kindergartners are working hard to shape up their reading skills, from identifying letters to building words and explaining the story plot of the books they're reading. These students are becoming Reading Leaders in our school. We can't wait to find out who will be our Readers of the Month from each class next week! Students, don't forget to keep up the reading momentum using our online reading program, AMIRA. Mrs. Diaz, our Literacy Coach, will be releasing our first AMIRA Challenge for this school year, so stay tuned!

As the new school year approaches, we want to ensure that your child's transition back to school is as smooth as possible. If your student will be riding a school bus, you can visit https://businfo.osceola.k12.fl.us/ to find your child’s bus stop along with the pick up and drop off times.

Parents who would like to ask the Transportation Department questions are encouraged to do so in one of two ways:

1) Osceola School District’s Transportation Hotline is now open and can be reached by calling 407-483-3673 Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

2) Parents can also select the “Let’s Talk” tab on the school district’s website at www.osceolaschools.net to begin a dialogue with our Transportation Department.

Parents are encouraged to submit questions online in English or Spanish, and they will be answered in a timely manner via a return email. Our dedicated team in Transportation is here to ensure that your child's journey to and from school is safe and timely.

We look forward to serving you and your child during the upcoming school year!
