Social skills is the topic this week in Ms. Victoria’s class! This week our 🐻 bear cubs 🐻 will focus on following directions. Today, they played a game that relies on listening to their partner to complete a task and to stay away from obstacles!

Mrs. Moreno’s 5th grade 🐻 bear cubs 🐻 had a BLAST learning how to use 🔬 science 🧪 tools! The STEM lab may just take the lead in our 🐻 bear cubs 🐻 most favorite block!

The Latinos In Action crew from Kissimmee Middle School were on campus this past week helping out with a Multicultural Back to School event!

Ms. Victoria’s 🐻 bear cubs 🐻 played 👍🏼 “flip the blanket” 💪🏽 during their social skills time. This game represented responsibility and sharing a task to get things done! We love seeing our 🐻 bear cubs 🐻 working together to successfully complete a task!

Mrs. Allen’s second grade 🐻 bear cubs 🐻 enjoyed using AVID strategies to get to know one another and work collaboratively! Keep up the great work, 🐻 bear cubs 🐻!

On this , we’re thankful for community partners who invest into our school: students AND staff! 🤗 Thank you 🤗 to The Olive Garden for sponsoring a fabulous lunch for our hardworking custodians and office staff! Every single person on our campus helps the school to run smoothly, and we couldn’t do it without them!

It’s all about what you believe. And Mrs. Terry and Mr. Kane believe that our 🐻 bear cubs 🐻 have what it takes to be 🦸🏽 SUPER STUDENTS 👩🏻‍🎓 where they focus on being the very best they can be - in and out of the classroom! The 2024-2025 school year is going to be AHHHMAZING!

Mrs. Velazquez’s first grade 🐻 bear cubs 🐻 are learning how to collaborate and rotate for small groups ! We are so impressed with how well our 🤩 bear cubs 😍 have developed a routine in their classrooms already! Keep up the great work!

Ms. Montano’s kindergarten 🐻 bear cubs 🐻 talked about 🏫 classroom community and our school family. Here is a 📸 snapshot of 🐻 bear cubs 🐻 completing their school family pictures after 📖 reading about their class family.

Mrs. Canino’s first grade 🐻 bear cubs 🐻 were working hard on identifying 1️⃣ numbers 7️⃣ during math! Look at how 🤩 proud they are to show off their 🧠 knowledge!

Ms. Victoria’s 🐻 bear cubs 🐻 collaboratively worked together to 🖍️ color a wall poster! This activity not only encouraged the students to ✏️ work together to accomplish a task, but it also promoted social skills focused on on sharing, waiting, and taking turns! Way to go 🐻 bear cubs 🐻!

🦜 Harry 🦉 was too short to see in class…so, Ms. McKahan tasked her fifth graders with making Harry a perch. The ONLY parameters given were to make the perch using the provided supplies, a specific amount of time to sketch out the design, build the perch, test it out, and then revise if needed. We think the end results speak for themselves!!! What do you think?
