Summer Camps - Pellissippi State Community College The Pellissippi State Workforce and Community Development division offers noncredit, lifelong learning classes and workforce development training in East Tennessee. Classes are open to the public and cover everything from professional training to self-improvement to personal hobbies.
Pellissippi State Athletics will host tryouts for women's softball on Wednesday, June 26 at 9 a.m. Tryouts will take place at the Knox County Sports Park, 8050 Oak Ridge Hwy in Knoxville. Information technology students are getting a jump on their fall studies through our summer internship program. Student Employment helped students find internships with Cirrus Aircraft, CGI, Avrio Analytics, Knox County Schools and PSCC. Thanks to Boys and Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley and Arconic Foundation for assistance in creating these opportunities.
Staff and students from our Strawberry Plains campus cleaned up 1/2 mile of the Indian Gap trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park last week. We're planning more biannual work trips in partnership with the Smoky Mountain Association.
Through Pellissippi State’s Chemical Radiation Technology Pathway, a partnership between the college and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, students earn an Associate of Applied Science in General Technology degree and prepare to work at ORNL and other national labs immediately after finishing their year degree.
The pathway was created not only to give local students more opportunities, but also to help build the trained workforce ORNL will need as it continues to increase and improve production of isotopes as part of its national mission.

Two upcoming camps at PSCC are designed for anyone who wants to learn more about manufacturing technology. Our ACE camp will teach you how to set up and program computer numerical control machines and build your own air engine. You can walk away with two industry-recognized certifications and compete for a quadcopter.
