Just a note that I am taking new clients now!

I see mostly women 18 and up. My jam is all things babies, marriage, family, anxiety, stress, life transitions. And let’s be honest, sometimes it just feels really good to talk about yourself for a while and not be interrupted or worry you’re saying too much.

I have openings mostly at my church office in West Knox but if my home office is easier, we can swing that too. 😘

My mind and heart are so full while being back in this place of learning and growth. I dragged my feet getting to this trauma & biology class, but I am just reminded what an incredible education I had at Richmont. What highly intelligent, brilliant and qualified instructors are here! I just need my Knoxville carpool group here with me!

I think we all need ice cold water and a mandarin orange.

I love this! Think about your future self!

It is not too late for your Nighttime Self to show up! She can do some really, really sweet sweet things for your Morning Self.

Nighttime Me has roughly 1/10th the energy and resolve as Morning Me, so I assign her only three things:

1. Please, please clean the dinner dishes. When Morning Me walks into a clean kitchen with wiped down counters, she wants to make out with Nighttime Me.

2. Get the coffee ready. Set the timer if you have one ounce of energy left. Morning Me has no greater joy than Texas Pecan Coffee brewing as her alarm goes off. THE HAPPINESS.

3. Wash your face, put on the potions and serums, and set a large glass of ice water by the bed. Morning Me looooooves waking up with a clean, oiled face and a lack of fatal dehydration.

With this, Morning Me wakes up fresh as a daisy. She kicks almost all the ass percentage-wise between my two selves, but only because Nighttime Me did the three things. Therefore, Morning Me can do the making of the bed, the tidying of the room, the immediate brushing of the teeth, the lighting of the feelings candle, the playing of the playlists, the making of the hot breakfast, and the handling of the children.

Activate your Nighttime Self! She can do the things for your Morning Self and you will love her for it. I know she is tired. We already did around 292374 things today, but just give her two or three tasks and then put her to bed with her shows and her weighted blanket.

Women Tending to Their Basic Needs Is Not Self-Care 02/18/2021

Good thoughts about self-care, ladies. Going to the bathroom or buying new dishwasher soap isn’t self-care.

Women Tending to Their Basic Needs Is Not Self-Care That kid-free trip to Target is not going to bring you back to life

Hi everyone! I am working on getting the Longmeadow Counseling & Therapy page up and running! Bear with me as I make some changes. I’ll be using this page to post articles I find interesting and helpful and probably some funny memes too. Thanks for following along... I would honored if you shared this page too!
