We are so excited for Captain Tom & The Hooligans to play at the library tomorrow night, Tuesday, July 16th at 6 PM.
Due to the unpredictable nature of "scattered thunderstorms" in the forecast for tomorrow, we will be holding this concert indoors in our community room.
This means we will be giving out tickets to the first 50 folks who arrive. However, we will be opening up the doors, and the music will be heard throughout the library space.
Come early! Additional parking on the street and in the overflow lots near the baseball field.
The Friends of the Lackawanna Library will have water and snacks available for purchase and some great basket raffles.
See you tomorrow! 🪗🎶

Join us on the beautiful back lawn for a Silent Reading Party! Unlike a book club, there’s no assigned reading. Just bring your current read – or pick out something new at the library! There’s no wrong way to read; ebooks, audiobooks (with headphones, please), textbooks, comic books, and magazines are all welcome!
Readers are invited to arrive after 5:30 to settle in. At 6:00, we’ll ask for silence so everyone can enjoy an hour of distraction-free reading. After 7:00, feel free to socialize – or not!
We encourage participants to bring a blanket or chair to sit on, pack a snack, and put away their phones for the duration of the quiet hour. This program is open to all ages.
In case of rain, this program will be held in the Library’s community room.
