✨✨✨MEDITATE✨✨✨
I’m taking a 4 day continued education training on somatoemotional release/craniosacral therapy. Still, I carved 5 minutes before I ate lunch to sit in silence and contemplation. The pine cones and trees scent is extra delicious today. The gift of presence can be found anywhere, at any time.
Check out my meditation online course through the link in my bio 📿💚

✨✨✨BREAKING KARMA✨✨✨
It is said that when a mālā breaks it means that the karma connected to it is finished. 📿
I created this mālā 4 or 5 years ago and it finally broke today. Every time one breaks I feel a sense of release, even if I don’t remember specifically what it was that I was focusing on transcending.
I have a mālā making and meditation course in the works. I’ve been curating it for about 3 years and (lol, I just realized while writing this) I was thinking that I might be able to finish it today…I wonder if that is the deeper meaning of this.💚
What about you? Have you ever had a mālā break? Have you ever used one to aid in attaining meditate states? Would you like to learn?🧘🏽♀️

We are one of the 8ball summer champions of the Mile High Pool Leagues!
I created this team right after the pandemic and we had some people come and go, but these humans here…. Are absolutely amazing pool players. This is THE TEAM.
A little braggin’: the nights are won in 5 matches, but we won this one in ONLY 3!!! That’s how amazing my team played.
Now we continue to practice as this win qualifies us for the “Cities” tournament in 2024.
✨✨✨PASSIONS✨✨✨
You already know that I LOVE playing pool (shoutout to my team the Femme Daddies, we are in the last leg of playoffs!), I obviously have a passion for wellness/bodywork/helping people feel good in their bodies, and this is another one 🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴
Horses are my first passion. I rode my first pony at 3 years old and that was it. I was hooked. I was a jumper since I was 8 years old and on and off until I was 20.
Every time I had to stop riding was because I couldn’t afford it. And every time it was like a piece of my heart was being pulled out from my chest.
This photo is from this year. A very humble jump, but ah! Did I enjoy it! One of my goals as an adult, now that I’ve harnessed the courage to get back into riding, is to have my own horse and ride every day. I hope those days are soon to be a reality💚
Little Foot says: “It’s always a good time to nap” 💚
✨✨✨A LITTLE PECTORAL STRETCHY STRETCH✨✨✨
🤤🤤 I love when I receive this stretch so I assume my people love when I give it. Especially when there is so much congestion on the pectoral area or the chest. This congestion doesn’t have to be just physical. Emotional congestion on the pectoral area may make you feel like your chest can’t expand enough when you take a breath, and that sucks. One of the things I love when I bodywork on people is to open their hearts, so that they can feel lighter and literally heart-opened after their session.
Have you ever had your “heart opened” during a massage?

It’s been a while since I had the time to make a mālā! So this one is pretty special. I made it in honor of Ganesha, remover of obstacles. Currently Mālā are utilized as beautiful necklaces, but their original use was as a tool to help sages in the practice of concentration. Concentration leads to MEDITATION.
I have been working on this little/big project of mine for a few years and it is close to be finished.
Want a hint? It is meditation related 🧘🏽♀️🧘🏿♀️🧘🏽🧘🏼🧘🏽♂️📿
Meanwhile, this beauty filled made of citrine, rutilated quartz, carnelian, fire agate, yellow calcite and amethyst is at the studio and up for grabs!

✨✨✨WHAT IS KAPHA DOSHA✨✨✨
Kapha is the fundamental principle that governs cohesion, structure, and lubrication, hence its elements being water and earth. These are functions of dhatus. Dhatus the tissues of āyurvedic anatomy. There are 7 dhatus and each one has its own agni (remember, agni is a metabolizing and transforming intelligence). Dhatus receive nutrition and pass on the left over to the following dhatu. If digestion is working properly, then the final product of digestion through all the dhatus is OJAS. Anyways, I am going down a rabbit hole here 🫣. I better tell you about all the different agnis and ojas and soma on a different post hahaha.
Back to kapha dosha: The main location of kapha is the chest, head, joints, stomach, neck and adipose tissue. According to the Caraka Samhita (ancient āyurvedic literature) "The effects of kapha in its normal state are unctuosness, patience, forbereance, strenght, virility, cohesion, and absence of greed."
✨✨✨WE ALL KNOW THIS✨✨✨
Well, maybe some people do not know, but there are many peer reviewed articles that confirm without a doubt that massage therapy can alleviate muscle pain, reduce injury healing time, and create an environment of homeostasis within the physiology which then translates into having a better quality of life in all aspects.
Everybody can benefit from pain reducing massage.
✨✨✨SCIENCE OF LIFE✨✨✨
Āyurveda's main goal is to share ways in which people can live free of dis-ease, age with grace, be spiritually healthy, and have a HAPPY longevous life.
So, in this context, science of life means more than just living, but living with a purpose, in full health. Full, good health does not merely mean the absence of disease. One can be physically healthy but mentally exhausted, or spiritually bankrupt. This does not constitute good health. As a holistic medicine science, āyurveda focuses on all areas of life, not just the physical aspect.
Want to know if āyurveda can help you? Connect with me and let's set you up with a consultation. Link in bio.
✨✨✨WHAT IS PITTA DOSHA?✨✨✨
Pitta is the fundamental principle governing metabolism, transformation, and digestion. The elements that form pitta are fire and a bit of water represented the flow of blood.
Metabolism, transformation and digestions are function of agni. Agni is the fire that produces metabolic and digestive processes.
Pitta is also everywhere, but it is found mostly between the belly button and the heart, the small intestine, plasma, blood, sweat, and lymph.
✨✨✨MASSAGE IS GOOD✨✨✨
So, I have been hearing this rumor since I was in massage therapy school (looong time ago) and to be honest, I have not found the peer reviewed article that confirms this claim, BUT my personal experience is that both my body and mind receive BIG waves of rejuvenation and rest whenever I get a massage.
There are however, thousands of peer reviewed articles related to massage therapy, and I can tell you that massage helps increase sleep stages in people with fibromyalgia, older adults, perimenopausal people, hospitalized children, and more.
✨✨✨WHAT IS VĀTA DOSHA✨✨✨
In our physiology, this is the intelligence that governs the principles of movement, transportation, and communication. These are functions of the srotas which are basically āyurvedic channels that transport all the nutrients, energy, water, waste, EVERYTHING. We will look into srotas in the future. From the communication between muscle fiber and nerve that needs to happen in order for our muscles to work, to the movement of (life force energy), to the transportation of waste, vāta is involved in mostly everything.
Vāta resides everywhere in the body but it id mainly found below the belly button, in the colon, hips, legs, feet and bones.
More to come!
✨✨✨The 5 elements of āyurveda✨✨✨
They are part of the creation philosophy and theory in Vedic knowledge. It is said that when the universe was created through the vibration of the eternal sound "AUM" that the elements came to be from subtle to gross. It is also interesting to remember that in Vedic philosophy, everything is consciousness expressing itself in different forms; this is where the famous phrase "we are all one" makes sense and this is where there is an undeniable connection between ancient Vedic knowledge and modern quantum physics (I will make a post on this in the future)
So, the elements from subtle to gross are:
Space 🌌
Air ☁️
Fire 🔥
Water 🌊
Earth 🪴
All of us have the energetic qualities of these elements within ourselves in different capacities. The union of some of these elements form the popular " " which are intelligences that can keep our bodies in balance or out of balance.

✨✨✨ YEP! This is true!
While maintenance massage is ideally received every 4 weeks, there is actually NO LIMIT to how many massages you can receive (unless there is a specific contraindication).
Can you imagine how amazing your body and mind would feel if you were to give yourself 1 or 2 massages per week?
At the moment I receive between 1 to 2 massages per month, but my goal is to receive at least 1 massage weekly. By taking care of this sacred vessel that is my body, I can then care for yours when you are on my table, and as a result you can be more present in your life because you feel GOOD.
Do you want to feel massage good? Go to the link in my bio and make your appointment 💚

✨✨✨Manipura is the 3rd cakra, known as the "solar plexus" 🌞
This cakra is related to the sense of self, willingness to do the things we have to do even when we don't want to, and to bring into fruition the ideas created through the second cakra.
The element here is fire, which has the ability to transform and create change, metabolizing food as well as experiences.
✨✨✨Appointment available this coming week🤩
Hey there!
Whether you are looking to get an āyurvedic consultation or a bodywork session, I have you covered!

✨✨✨Happiness✨✨✨
The first photo is with one of my idols in the whole multiverse, Dr John Hagelin. Dr Hagelin is a quantum physicist who teaches about the parallels between the unified field theory and Vedic wisdom. This rings so true to me and many others, and also it is a great way to truly integrate ancient wisdom with current science.
This photo was taken the day I visited to see if it was a good fit for my undergrad degree. I mean, a consciousness based university in which part of the curriculum is twice a day meditation practice? YES PLEASE.
The next photo is during that same trip outside one of the golden meditation domes on campus. The sun looked beautiful and there was peace in the air.
The third photo was after my graduation ceremony from MIU with Dr Hagelin again. I like to think that we were both closing our eyes to let us feel the reverberations of consciousness washing over us, and be us, and be everyone. Coincidentally (or not), this photo is right outside the golden dome too, where the ceremony took place.
Circles. Cycles. Infinity.
PS: When you have time, I HIGHLY recommend looking up Dr Hagelin on youtube and watching one of his talks. He truly speaks from the ethers of revelation.
✨✨✨ Petrissage✨✨✨
I always think of petrissage as the same as cats "making muffins". You know, when cats feel so comfortable and safe that decide to make their sleeping space fluffier and it looks like they are massaging, they do it to each other too!
Petrissage is a Swedish massage technique that is utilized to bring more circulation into the tissue and create micro-stretches within and in between muscle fibers and connective tissue.
I love this technique because it can be very versatile. I can use both hands, only one hand; my hands can travel or stay in place, and I can use this technique also to find bundles of tissue called adhesions that might be a bit more hidden than usual.
It looks good in the photo, uh? 🤩

✨✨✨ Hey all! I am sure many of you have heard your LMT tell you to come back for treatment soon, but do you know why?
Here are reasons to receive bodywork and massage as often as possible:
🟣 Pain management. Some people suffer from pain in their body, specifically pain caused by tension in their muscles. Receiving one massage per year will feel good, but will not help manage this pain. Massage at the rate your professional bodyworker recommends will help you manage pain caused by tension.
🟣Fixing a specific issue. Many times bodywork and massage therapy can help fix specific issues of mobility and ROM, as long as the work is received often.
🟣Turn off sympathetic response (fight or flight). Massage and intentional touch have the ability to help your nervous system calm down and go from a state of vigilance to a state of relaxation. When mind and body are relaxed, healing happens faster.
These are only 3 reasons to receive bodywork often, I will share more in the future!
Tell me, what are some things that massage has helped you with?

The 11 AM slot can book a max of a 2 hour treatment, the 12 PM can book a max of a 90 min treatment, and the 1 PM can book a 60 min treatment. Don't miss it!
✨✨✨ Join me in celebrating "Massage is for Every-Body Week" from July 16th through July 22nd.
Everybody deserves massage therapy. If you come to see me often you are a living example of the benefits bodywork has brought into your life. If you have received massage therapy or bodywork at some point in your life (even if it was not with me) you can attest to the good changes you felt after your session. What if everybody could feel that way?
I have said this before and I say it again now: Massage is preventative care. There you have it. From dissipating mental stress to removing physical pain, and even helping the digestive system work better, massage therapy has many many qualities that make it a very important part of anybody's self-care routine.
Over the next weeks I will be sharing some information with you about the different benefits massage therapy can provide. I will also tell you how Wholeheartedly Wellbeing is trying to make a difference in people's lives through bodywork.

The Neverending Re-Discovering
WholeHeartedly was born out of a desire to bring awareness about Ayurveda, and how this complete healing system can help us achieve a better, healthier quality of life.
Ayurveda for me, is a lifestyle. It can encompass all aspects of my experience, from taking care of my body, allowing my mind to relax, and giving my spirit a space to be one with all. Of course, this type of perfection does not happen all the time, but I strive for it, so I continue to pursue it. At the end of the day, I am just looking for (and finding again and again) that space within myself that holds happiness and bliss. Let’s go on this path together!
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE JOURNEY, NOT THE DESTINATION.
