Mesilla Valley Weavers Guild
The Mesilla Valley Weavers guild was formed to stimulate interest in the artistic and technical development of the fiber arts.
Membership is open to weavers, textile artists, and others interested in the fiber arts.
The Guild will be having their monthly meeting on Tuesday, December 15th at 10 am. Our program will be a presentation by Handweavers Guild of America Executive Director, Elizabeth Williamson. If you are a guest and would like the zoom link please send the guild a PM. See you all there!

Monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 17th at the Branigan Cultural Center. Social hour begins at 9:30 am, program at 10 am. We will watch the DVD “A Weaverly Path” about the life and work of Silvia Heyden. Sylvia was a Swiss born weaver who came to the United States after studying in Berlin after World War II. This is a beautiful and inspiring film. Guests are welcome!
Tapestry group will meet at 10 am at the Branigan Library on Monday, February 24. There will be a hands on tapestry technique demonstration. First time guests are welcome. Board room, second floor.
Mesilla Valley Weavers will meet Tuesday, February 18 at the Branigan Cultural Center. Social is 9:30 and meeting starts at 10 am. This month's program will feature Navajo Weaver Serena Jumbo Medelez. Serena will talk to us about growing up amidst a family of master Navajo weavers. She will also talk about Navajo weaving, and will give us a demonstration on carding and spinning wool the Navajo way. Guests are welcome!! Hope to see you there!
Tapestry Group will meet Monday, January 27th at the Branigan Library. Meet in the Board Room on the second floor at 10 am. Please bring show and tell (finished weaving, books, techniques, etc). See you soon!

Fiber Study Group meets the 2nd Thursday of the month, 10:00 am - Noon. All skill levels and all fiber creators are welcome. Las Cruces Railroad Museum, 351 N. Mesilla Street. February group will meet on the 13th.
