Why FYI+

Families & Youth Innovations Plus (FYI+) is a trusted community-based provider deeply rooted in Las Cruces and southern New Mexico. We strive to make the community healthier and safer for children, youth, adults, and families.

FYI+ remains as committed to its mission today as it was when the agency began in 1977 as Children in Need of Supervision.

We offer a range of innovative programs and services delivered with evidence-based and trauma-informed care for participants of all ages who are experiencing mental health and/or substance use-related conditions.

Our Team is dedicated to ensuring everyone gets the care they need, including individuals from underserved populations, such as those who identify as LGBTQ+, systems-involved youth, veterans, and others.

Are you feeling down lately? Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) can affect us all differently. Symptoms include depression, reduced energy, loss of concentration, feelings of worthlessness or hopelessness, trouble sleeping, nausea, and appetite changes. Here are some self-care tips that may help you manage your symptoms.

As we stand amidst the beautiful landscapes of Las Cruces, our hearts are filled with gratitude and respect for the brave heroes who have served our nation. This Veterans Day, FYI+ wants to express our deepest thanks to all the veterans who have selflessly defended our freedoms and values.

As we observe Veterans Day, FYI+ in Las Cruces, New Mexico, will be closed today to honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. We believe it's important to take this day not only to remember and reflect on the bravery and sacrifices of our veterans but also to spend time with our loved ones, reminding ourselves of the freedoms and values they fought to protect.

FYI+ would like to thank the community for such a positive response to the First Annual Las Cruces Pride Parade on 10/7/23. 🌈 Thanks to our partners, Southern New Mexico Pride and PFLAG Las Cruces for helping us paint the town with Pride! We were fortunate to have 30 parade participants, 60+ volunteers, along with many donors and sponsors.

I am so incredibly honored to be recognized by FYI Plus NM and Southern New Mexico Pride. To come home after spending nearly a decade in college and law school outside of southern New Mexico and returning to make high impact change on my community brings an unimaginable fullness to my heart. That some mocoso from the Village of Doña Ana could change lives right here - it’s dream come true❤️

FYI+ is home to our amazing AmeriCorps team that just welcomed 25 new and 4 returning members for the new program year. These individuals do great things in our community! This week, members gathered for a team-building, scavenger hunt that began at our La Video Project location and ended at Doña Ana Village Association - DAVA. 😊☀️🧭🗺️

We're always stronger working together. You are the reason why we can do what we do. You are the reason why we can keep our community healthy and vibrant. You are the reason why we can offer hope and love to those who need it most.
