Warner Bros. commits to $8.5B for Nevada Studios, but there’s a condition Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) announced Tuesday its plans to commit more than $8 billion to partner with UNLV to lease and operate Nevada Studios, but only on one condition.

on Wednesday - the public is invited to a free night of food and entertainment. UNLV Film is holding the "Improv Comedy Showcase." It will take place at 7pm at the Composer's Room in the Commercial Center - 953 E. Sahara.

The "Improv Comedy Showcase" is part of Arts in the Center - a collaboration between Clark County and the UNLV College of Fine Arts - an effort to bring more entertainment offerings to the historic Commercial Center District.

“Riot in Bloom” Test Screening this Friday!

Please come out and participate in a test screening for the UNLV Film Co-Curricular Project, “Riot in Bloom.” “Riot in Bloom” is an independent feature film that was created over the course of three semesters in 2022-2023.

Professors Brett Levner (Director), Roudi Boroumand (Screenwriter), May May Luong (Producer) and Jason Edmiston (Editor) collaborated with students, alums, faculty and professionals to make this film possible.

We will screen a rough cut of this dramatic comedy this Friday May 3rd at 6 PM in FDH 109 and ask viewers to fill out a survey to gather feedback so that we can complete the edit. The goal is to send the film to film festivals and seek digital distribution.
