Desiree was nominated based on her flexibility to fill in critical roles due to vacancies in the Administration Office including purchasing, accounting, and student employee management. She has demonstrated an eagerness to learn new skills and collegiality which have contributed to departmental operations. Congratulations, Desiree!
Save the date: the Research Impact Challenge begins on September 16! The challenge will help you learn more about citation metrics, altmetrics, and other methods by completing daily challenges.
Faculty and graduate students who participate in the challenge and complete the daily tasks will be entered into a drawing for a Libraries prize pack.

The University Libraries has identified a preliminary list of databases and print and online journals for cancellation as part of the 2024 Serial Review Project, first announced in March of this year. The project was launched to address a collections acquisition funding shortfall due to inflation.

The UNLV Libraries have joined a research project aimed at understanding and addressing the complexities and costs associated with managing and sharing data from funded research.
We are one of 11 academic institutions across the country participating in the Realities of Academic Data Sharing (RADS) Initiative, which is led by the Association of Research Libraries and funded by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services until 2016.

Late nights at Lied Library will be back for the fall semester! Lied Library will pilot a return to being open until midnight Mondays through Thursdays starting Tuesday, September 3 and running through the end of final exams in December.
