How neat!

Today is National Shelter Pets Day! America's first animal shelter was started by a group of 30 women in 1869! Initially they focused on ensuring proper welfare of the carriage horses and making sure they were in good health and condition during work. They quickly expanded to ensuring the health and welfare of dogs and other domestic animals. There are many ways to celebrate all the wonderful shelter pets and their day! If a new addition to your family isn't in the cards, think about stopping by your local shelter and take a dog out on a walk! See if the shelter needs donations or volunteers! It takes a village to care for each and everyone of these amazing animals.

Winnie & Eeyore have been returned due to no fault of their own. Unfortunately, life happens and that's why we have shelters! Their loving former owner has provided us with the following information:
"They are happy and healthy and have a great bond with each other. I am happy to meet with anybody interested in adopting them and have them meet the kitties. I will provide anyone interested with all of their favorite toys, food we have for them, and supplies such as litter boxes/cat towers so they can have a more comfortable transition. They are super sweet, cuddly, and playful kittens."

They are currently in foster care.

Jack had a sleepover last night since all his siblings went home. His overnight foster reports:
He was a big love bug and very content curled up in my lap! He was hesitant at first, but after an hour was running around the house. He was conflicted and worried about the dogs and cats, but once he saw they left him alone, he was content and tried playing with all of them this morning! He whined and barked in his xpen to go outside and potty. He walked fine on the leash and learned how to walk up a set of stairs.

Jack is looking for a foster or adopter who will give him time to flourish and learn about life!

We have some puuuurfect kittens looking for their new homes 🏑
All kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines.

Kittens are adopted out in pairs.
Single kittens or kittens from an odd numbered littered can be adopted solo if there is already another kitten or young/social cat in the home.

Why pairs? It's for the kittens' welfare!
🐱 you're saving two lives in need!
🐱 the kittens will learn bite iinhibition from one another - no 3 am nose or toe attacks
🐱 kittens need a feline friend!
🐱 some articles say kittens in pairs live longer and have less behavior issues then single kittens!

Did you know it's month? 🐾 🐢 🐢 🐾
Little Boy and Lone Ranger are survivors of cruelty and neglect! They would love a soft place to spend the rest of their days. Both dogs lived chained up outside 24/7, and were in extremely poor condition when ours friends at Park County Animal Control brought them to safety.

They have since received much needed vet care, consistent meals, and lots of treats. They are ready to find their new home or homes!

These kiddos are headed into foster!
Bear (the fluffy boy) and his sister Mila will be up for adoption soon 🐾 stay tuned 🐾
