This evening, members gathered at the central station to wash hose and repack it on the engines after today’s wheat field fire. We also loaded 700’ of 5” hose onto the tower. Members then spent time familiarizing themselves with the operation of the tower. We hope to have it in service in about one week! We can’t wait to place it in service and continue to serve the county’s best residents!

Station 48 is currently operating at a wildfire in the 500 block of Schaeffer Rd in South Lebanon. Brush 35 is assisting.
The heat we have had, obviously has dried everything out. The wind is an additional factor which makes fires like this difficult to fight.
