Gardner Family Farm
We are a small farm in Lexington, SC raising KuneKune pigs, Silkie chickens and Nigerian dwarf goats.
We’ve got turkeys! The girls decided they weren’t done laying yet this season. Parents are as shown, no adults available only babies. PM if interested. 4-5 currently available with more hatching in the next week🙂
Farm chores after a 12hr night shift is a real treat🙄 Feels like 91 with 87% humidity?! Seriously we all
Need a break 🥵
It’s brutal out there 🥵 How’s everyone holding up? We’ve spent our days watering animals trying to keep them from being miserable. We need rain!
This is why you can never let your guard down on a farm. We haven’t seen this guy in over a year, but he’s still around. The dogs keep him off the property but here he is out at the driveway gate lurking. Thank goodness for our LGD’s keeping everyone safe!
We’ve got lots of chicken and quail eggs! PM for pickup or delivery.
As we evaluate our breeding/farm goals we have chosen a few animals who will be looking for work on new farms:
“Meatball” 7 month old registered KuneKune boar. Double wattled.
“Olivia” 2 1/2 year old Nigerian dwarf doe, kidded twice. Brown eyes, disbudded unregistered.
“Judith” 4 month old doeling. Brown eyes, disbudded, unregistered.
“Jay” young buckling, blue eyes, polled, unregistered.
PM for info 🙂
This is a great article that explains why we are raising registered KuneKune pigs and the quality of the animal you will get from our farm 🙂

We added this handsome fella to the goat herd today. He’s got ears for days lol and look at that face 😍 Thank you Doss Farms!
Couldn’t be happier with our farm fence installation. We’ve had the guys out twice now to complete the job. They showed up on time everyday they were expected and were very courteous while here. The job looks amazing! If anyone is looking for fencing of any kind I highly recommend them 🙂
Black “Sizzle” silkie/frizzle Hen available. Laying daily and goes broody often.
We also have around 10 silkie chicks available in all colors with more hatching this week as well as jumbo coturnix quail. Pics of adult silkies posted but adult are not available. Pics only to show quality of the silkie chicks available.
Turkeys are hatching! Parents are blue slate and heritage bronze. Turkeys will go quick as the hatcheries are sold out for the season. Pm if interested🙂
Finally broke down and got the Mack daddy of incubators, the GQF sportsman. First batch of eggs loaded including turkeys, quail, silkies and an assortment of large egg layers. Thanks to Doss Farms for helping us load this thing up. I don’t even know how many eggs we have in this thing and it’s nowhere near full🙈 🤞for a great hatch!
We now have our first batch of quail hatching from our other incubators and are 2 days old and ready to go. Silkies are hatching now and will be ready in a day or so. PM if Interested 🙂
****First batch of turkeys still have 7 days****
And just like that all the pups have left for their new farms☺️ Teddy is now flying solo without his brothers and sisters, but we are very glad we decided to keep this sweet boy ❤️
All of our previous pup parents, could yall please share a photo of your pups now so that everyone can see how they’ve grown. 🙂Always fun to see how much they change colors.
How cool is it that 3 of our boys went to a great camp to be loved on by kids 🥰 Owen was very thankful that his favorite boy went to such a wonderful place to live ☺️
Last LGD pup 🥹 Someone come sn**ch this cutie up!
We may have lost our minds, but today we brought home two baby Emu’s. We know one is a male and unsure of the other. So for now we have “Carl” and “Sue.” If baby #2 comes out a boy as well it will just be “A Boy named Sue.” Big Johnny cash fans in this house 😉 Welcome home little backyard dinosaurs 😁
Kidney transplants and pigs……...I can get down with this. One day when you don’t see me at LMC you’ll know what happened is all I’m sayin 😂

Recipient of world’s first pig kidney transplant relishes new lease on life He was the first person in the world to receive a kidney from a pig, one that had been genetically edited for the human body.
We’re down to one little girl looking for a farm. Pups are almost 6 weeks old now. Will be ready to go April 7th 🙂
We also go our first Turkey egg today 😁 Fingers crossed the ladies keep laying and we’ll have Turkey eggs to incubate 🤞
A week later little “Tulip” has made herself at home. As of yesterday, Momma has decided not to feed her anymore, so here we are bottle feeding another baby 🤪 Luckily Juliet’s got a good milk supply so we’re milking her out to feed her baby. Never did I picture myself milking goat but here we are lol. Tulip’s muzzle is a little short and appears to have a bit of an underbite, but she eats well off the bottle. Her little tongue hangs out on occasion which is quite adorable. Needless to say she will be staying here☺️.
Juliet needed help getting a breach baby delivered. Mom seems to be ok, baby is to be determined. This brings our spring kidding season to a dramatic end. This is the last of the babies until fall. Thank goodness we have made it lol
****3-19-24: purple has been claimed
And then there were 4. We have 3 boys and 1 girl left for new farms. Light blue boy is back as available due to no fault of his own. Will get an updated picture of him
Tomorrow 🙂
