Berry Hill Farm
Berry Hill Farm has approximately 10 acres of delicous blueberries of the Rabbiteye variety. The farm has been operating since 1980.
We are strictly a u-pick operation.
Hey everyone, just a heads up that there is still plenty of good picking to be had. Now would be a good time to come on out and get yours for the year. The picking for 2024 will not get any better than it is right now since we are past the peak of the season.
Picking update: The picking is still very good and all the rain has really helped things. Yes, we will be open normal hours on July 4 as well as the rest of the week (closed Sunday). Bring the friends and family and we will see you on the 4th.

A big thanks to everyone who picked this year. This year’s crop wasn’t great but we managed to pick quite a lot of berries considering the circumstances. The farm is now closed for the season.
The farm will be open Saturday 7/22 7:30-1. We anticipate this to be the last picking day of the year.
We will be open for picking the morning of Saturday July 15 7:30-1. There are a couple of rows of PowderBlue with respectable picking. Some Tifblue and Delite in the lower field. The picking is not great but it is picking. A decision on another picking will be made if there are berries to pick.
We will be open for picking the morning of Friday July 14 7:30-1. There are a couple of rows of PowderBlue with respectable picking. Some Tifblue and Delite in the lower field. The picking is not great but it is picking. A decision on another picking will be made if there are berries to pick.

The picking is good now but it looks like a lot of rain next week. We don’t know what the rain will do to the crop. If you plan on getting some berries then Saturday 6/17 would be a good opportunity prior to the rains next week.
We will be closed Thursday. We will be open Friday 6/16 and Saturday 6/17 during normal hours 7:30-1 and 6-dark. Note that we generally discourage picking after a rain since you would generally get wet from all the water on the plants. We will provide updates if it rains.

Sorry for the late notice, but Mr. Bill says there is still some nice picking to be had on the Climax variety. We will be open tonight 6-dark and on Tuesday morning (6/13) from 7:30-1. We will be having more picking after that so stay tuned.
We had a lot of pickers today but there is still some good picking to be had. We will NOT be open Friday 6/9, but we will be open Saturday 6/10 from 7:30-1 and 6-dark. After that we anticipate closing for a week or two to let things ripen up. We still anticipate having several more picking opportunities this season so you won't miss out if you can't make it Saturday.
As previously stated, there was significant crop damage this year, but the lower field still has some good picking. One variety ("Climax" variety) is ready to be picked. We will be open for one day this Thursday 6/8. There is good but limited picking. After Thursday we will re-assess what is left and post additional dates when we will be open. This is the very first day of the season and definitely NOT the last so don't feel like you will miss out if you can't make it on Thursday. In coming days/weeks as other varieties ripen up we will have a lot more opportunities to pick.
Regular hours are in effect Thursday (7:30-1 and 6-dark)
Side note: in years past some customers have noted some chigger bites while picking in the lower field. Long pants and/or bug spray on your legs is advisable.
The crop this year has sustained significant damage due to the late freeze, but we will still have a moderate crop this year. Depending on conditions, we may not be open 6 days a week like most years. We anticipate the first day of picking will be in June. Stay tuned for more updates on an opening date.
May 18, 2022 - the heavy freeze we had in March ruined the blueberry crop and we will not be open this year.
