Earlier this month, CPH Dean Heather Bush had the privilege of visiting the Three Rivers District Health Department in Owen County. Dr. Georgia Heise, a proud CPH alum, gave her a tour and introduced Dean Bush to their amazing team. Their commitment to the community is truly inspiring, especially with their mobile units featuring local families and events. It’s a powerful reminder that public health is about more than regulations—it’s about empowering communities to thrive. 💙

July is Disability Pride Month, which began in 1990 after the landmark passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Disability Pride Month provides an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions that the millions of Americans living with disabilities make to our world each day. Celebrating Disability Pride Month also includes expanding your consciousness of those living with disabilities and reflecting upon their contributions. Increased awareness invites opportunities to change how disability is perceived, end stigmas and promote expanded appreciation as a natural part of human diversity.
