🌞Outdor Play🌞
Summer is such a great time to get outside and play with your littles. You might have to beat the heat and sneak out in the morning! Here are some activities you can do.
🔸Make washable outdoor paint-
You can find several "recipes" online! Use a muffin tin to put different colors in, give your children paint brushes and let them go crazy! You can always follow this up with water play if it gets too messy!
🔸Have a scavenger hunt-
Change it up by looking for items that are the same color, or start with the same letter!
🔸Play in the dirt-
Give your child some cooking utensils to play with in the dirt and let their imagination go wile!
🔸Play with chalk-
Chalk is a great time for family play, working on drawing shapes and letters and creating sensory walks!
🔸Water play-
Water play is a family favorite in the summer. It doesn't have to be too expensive. Bring out a giant bowl of water, let your children use measuring cups, sponges, water droppers, etc. and have some fun!
What is your favorite summer activity??
Did you know that many kids with a Spinal Cord Injury (such as Spina Bifida) can learn to cath themselves at Elementary School age? They are never too young to start including them in the process!
For many people impacted by any kind of Spinal Cord Injury cathing several times throughout the day is the norm! When this is the case you need to make sure you ALWAYS have the essentials with you. You never know when you’ll get stuck in traffic, caught up shopping, or change plans mid day. Here are things to make sure you always have with you when you’re on the go!
If you know anyone that could use some help brainstorming positions, cathing items, or has any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Here are some fun activities you can do at home to work on the small muscles in the hand to increase a child's FMC!

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is continually working to ensure outdoor recreation opportunities are accessible to people of all abilities.
Track chairs, all-terrain electric-powered chairs, provide people with limited mobility with more ways to hike, hunt, fish, and enjoy the outdoors. The chairs will be available at a variety of events, park programs, mentored hunts, shooting ranges, and other activities across Nebraska.
NGPC currently has 4 track chairs. The Commission’s goal is to acquire funds to purchase eight chairs by utilizing donations, grants, and internal funding sources.

🌟 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 🌟
Inspire is PROUD to say we are now accepting Insurance! Inspire was created to help fill the gaps in therapy. To help those transitioning home from Acute Care or Inpatient Rehabilitation after a traumatic injury. We want to help those become more independent with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing and dressing, as well as higher-level tasks such as cooking! Our goal is to provide quality therapy within the home to help children and young adults meet goals where they are most comfortable.
Please reach out if you have any questions!
Therapy, no matter where is very beneficial. But imagine the progress that can be made where several sessions don't have to be dedicated to making a child feel at home because that is where therapy is taking place!
Something unique to Inspire is we come into your home to see your child where THEY are most comfortable. This has SO many benefits, with just a few listed below. If you know of someone that could benefit from our unique services, send them our way!
Inspire is so excited to be sponsoring such an amazing program and event!
Come join Dimensions May 4th for some family fun!
There will be SO MANY fun activities at Eat & Explore in the Park on May 4th!

We look forward to celebrating with you soon!
⭐️ April is OT month, a time to celebrate an amazing profession! ⭐️
Occupational Therapists focus on getting people back to doing their daily activities as independently as possible! We look at adapting the environment and utilizing adaptive equipment to make the day-to-day easier! This can look a little different within the pediatric population as the primary "occupation" of a child is PLAY! This means we will utilize play in every session to help children meet goals and learn new skills!
