Once again, incredibly thankful to the Jonah Bennett Jazz Quartet for playing the Tower Square artist market. They put on a fantastic show and we'll hope to see them again!

A major thank you to everyone who came out last Friday to our Artist Markets on Tower Square! We had a great time with over twenty artists and the Jonah Bennett Jazz Quartet. Looking forward to seeing you all next First Friday with our last artist market for the season- and we'll be going out with a bang, with over twentyfive projected artists and back-to-back music acts with bands "Happy John" and "The Black Ophanim!"

LUX Center for the Arts is still on the lookout for a talented local artist to design and paint a mural for the South Street branch of Lincoln City Libraries. This is your chance to bring your vision to life on the west-facing wall of the building. Selected artist will receive $3,000 for their work. An incredible week with our fantastic partners at Lincoln Literacy, where 52 adults and kids explored the world, continent by continent! From Europe on Monday to the Americas on Friday, each day was filled with art, music, and cultural discovery. 🎨🎶

Lincoln’s Dance for Parkinson’s continues healing tradition with Summer Sessions Dance for Parkinson’s was put together as a way for those living with Parkinson’s to work muscles often affected by the disease, while also giving them a sense of community.

A major thank you to all who passed through, but especially to the artists who participated- watching how effectively you all set up displays, operated booths, and broke down was incredible!
Our next Arts Market will be August 2nd, again in Tower Square from 5-9pm, and this time with local folk band BB Sledge playing from 7-9pm!
UPDATE: While it is still possible to join the Tower Square Art Markets, all of our tents have been reserved- new artists joining will have to provide their own tent or go without! Our apologies for this inconvenience. (If you've already reserved your tent, you're still good to go!)

While we're still hard at work on providing more permanent opportunities for artists in Lincoln, we're putting together a low-cost arts market in Tower Square for the summer!
Artists can pay $40 for a single First Friday or $100 for all four between July and October! ($70 for two or $90 for three- the more you do the more you save!) We're also happy to cut that price in HALF for those willing to volunteer with setup and breakdown- be quick on this though, as volunteer slots are limited!
These markets will run from 5-9pm and be marketed with the Lincoln Arts Council and the Downtown Lincoln Association alongside a large local poster run. We're also booking live music to draw even more people into the area to check out your booth!
