We’ve acquired a 154-acre parcel in northwest Lincoln at 2180 Arbor Road for the new Cornhusker Bank Park, named in honor of Alice Dittman and Cornhusker Bank.
This park will feature:
🌳 85 acres for wetland/floodplain conservation
🚴🏼 58 acres for active park use
🏢 11 acres for the future home of the Lower Platte South Natural Resources District main offices
Over the next year, we'll work with the community to develop the park's amenities, with initial buildout, including a parking lot and trails, anticipated by the end of 2025.

It is important, especially this weekend with the warm weather, that you stay safe whether you're competing or spectating.
◾️ Stay Hydrated: Drink water regularly.
◾️ Wear Sunscreen: Use SPF 30+ and reapply often.
◾️ Dress Light: Wear lightweight, light-colored clothes.
◾️ Take Breaks: Rest in shade or cool areas.
◾️ Know the Signs: Watch for dizziness, nausea, and cramps. Seek help immediately if needed.

The fun, flowy Mtb course at Branched Oak Area 7, played host to the Cornhusker State Games Mtb Race on Saturday, July 13th. The warm, humid temps challenged racers on a well groomed, fun, trail designed by the Rock Star Crew that maintains Area 7. From the Under 10 yr old racers completing 2 challenging, shortened laps, to the Marathon Class, completing over 10 laps, of the full 4 mi course - ANIMALS! We even had our first podium marriage proposal. Congratulations!
