It is time to celebrate our July Anniversary, Kyle Bean. Following the famous motto “Do or do not, there is no try”, Kyle has taken on every challenge ARCON has thrown at him and proven to be a valuable asset to the ARCON family. In just one year, he has become a pro at renderings, video fly-throughs, working on large scale projects, meeting with the leadership of the Chicago Wolves to develop a new Ice Arena, and much more. The force truly is strong with this one and we are happy to celebrate his one year anniversary as an ARCONian!

Are you following the construction updates from Prospect Heights School District 23? This summer, both exterior and interior work is happening at Grodsky Administration Center, Betsy Ross Elementary, & Anne Sullivan Elementary School. All three buildings are undergoing window and siding replacements while Ross & Sullivan are also getting canopy upgrades. Inside, a number of classrooms are receiving new furniture along with Sullivan's library and Ross' conference room.

Exciting times for Rantoul City Schools! Together with Broeren Russo Builders, we joined the Rantoul community in celebration of the new Early Childhood Center groundbreaking at Pleasant Acres Elementary School. The 12,000 square foot addition and 4,000 square foot renovation will bring all PreK education under one roof. Key features include eight classrooms, therapy spaces, a larger playground, and so much more. The community is excited for the space to open in Spring 2025

ARCON Associates Principal, Vien-Phong “V.P.” Trinh, will be teaming up with Benjaminsd25’s Dr. Jim Woell and Dr. Joel Filas to discuss how a school district D.I.Y project uses the RFQ process to find a strategic partner. Congratulations to our June ARCON Anniversaries! With experience ranging from 1 to 39 years, these team members have devoted their time and energy to crafting innovative learning environments for our clients. Each one has played a crucial role in some of our most significant projects. It's time for a new roof at Centennial School of School District U-46! In partnership with Preservation Services, Inc., the original 1991 metal roof panels will be completely removed and replaced with new panels and a new low slope roofing system. The team will be finished before students and staff return in August.

Big changes for High School District 214's Elk Grove High School are happening this summer! Both the Student Services area and the Culinary Arts classroom will undergo renovations. The Student Services area will be completely reconfigured to better organize the individual departments and help students find support. In the center of the area will be the reimagined College & Career Center: An all glass space that will allow for one-on-one meetings and large group discussions.

Zach, Aurora, & Bryan have been grooving at a constant beat since they began at ARCON two years ago, working on some of our largest projects. Over his 5 years on the team, Patrick has be apart of countless projects spanning from referendum assistance to master planning to addition & renovation work. Congratulations Zach, Aurora, Bryan, & Patrick!

Exciting News! Our district Rantoul City Schools has partnered with Broeren Russo Builders of Champaign to build a new Early Childhood Addition at Pleasant Acres School. The project will feature a new entrance canopy, renovated front office & reception area, administrative support spaces with a secure vestibule, 8 classrooms, and a motor room. Broeren Russo Builders is also replacing doors throughout the district as well as renovating the front office of Broadmeadow School. It’s going to be a busy summer at Rantoul City Schools District 137!

The work for Community Consolidated School District 15 continues at Hunting Ridge Elementary School. Foundations and underground utilities for the addition have been installed. Next up is the construction of masonry walls. Students & staff will be able to enjoy the new addition, renovations and sitework before the start of the next school year.

The addition at Community Consolidated School District 15's Thomas Jefferson Elementary School is getting closer to completion. Panels are being installed on the exterior while the interior is ready for ceiling tile & flooring installation. Progress will continue through the summer with the full interior and exterior work complete before the start of school this Fall.

Thomas Jefferson is one of the many CCSD 15 schools undergoing major renovations & additions as part of the initiative. ARCON is proud to be part of this initiative and to have the opportunity to work on Thomas Jefferson, Sundling, Winston Campus, Jane Addams, & Hunting Ridge.

Congratulations Summit School District 104! Yesterday, our team had the privilege of joining the district & community in celebration of the new District Administration Center. The new 4,000 SF facility provides the district administration with more office space, an official board room, & the ability to relocate from their previous space in Heritage Middle School.

Watch out roofers, Juan Palomo is officially certified as a Registered Roof Observer from IIBEC, The International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants. This designation is the preferred standard for roofing quality assurance professionals, it gives full authority to observe all construction materials and equipment for quality & compliance with the design intent.

Earlier this month, our team welcomed 44 students from Township High School District 211 to learn about architecture and starting a career in the industry. We challenged the students with a design exercise that had them work together in teams to build a tower that was both tall & structurally sound - it was a close contest! Thank you to the Career Advisors of Township High School District 211 for connecting our team with these students.

Celebrating 7 years as our Chief Financial Officer, Donna, is the finance brain behind the scenes. Her magic ball expertise guides the office to keep the lights on and project ARCON's future.

Sarah is celebrating 2 years at ARCON as the Marketing Coordinator handling all things social, making ARCON 'look' great, and taking on all the fun stuff.

DUDE, it's been 40 years since Tony Tremonte began his ARCON career on the Architectural Team & boy has it been a blast! Tony's fun-loving personality and his sense of humor keeps the office constantly smiling.

Construction continues to progress at Community Consolidated School District 15 for the Initiative!

Winston Campus Junior High School's brick veneer installation is almost complete and the concrete slab in the multi-purpose room has been placed. Contractors are now working on connecting roof drains.

Finishes have begun at Jane Addams Elementary School including paint, tile and ceilings. Up next is installation of all mechanical units.

We had the privilege to present the current facility challenges and potential solutions at their local community meeting.
