To keep our sewers healthy, it’s important to remember to flush only the 3 P’s: p*e, poo, and (toilet) paper!
Avoid flushing feminine hygiene products, pills, and wipes – even if they say “flushable!” These items can cause backups.

This Memorial Day, Long Beach Utilities thanks all service members who courageously gave their lives for our country. We wish the community a safe and restful holiday.
As temperatures rise, it’s important to make the most of our air conditioning usage.
Seek out places where air can escape to conserve natural gas and save money on cooling costs. Some of the key culprits for escape routes are fireplaces, doors, windows and ducts. To check for gaps in windows, have one person shine a flashlight along the edge of a window from the inside, and have someone else look for the light shining through the gap from the outside.
Can you spot any gaps?

Maya and Rodder are here to ✨demystify ✨ fats, oils, and grease (F.O.G.) disposal!
When poured down the drain, F.O.G. can cause sewer backups and overflows which impact our homes, streets and beaches.
To dispose of them properly, let them cool and/or solidify before scraping them off plates and pans, then place them in the trash bin.
