Honorary Consul General Mr. Kim Chha Hout accompanied with the Cambodia delegation led by His Excellency Buon Sarakmony, Cambodia Secretary of State of Ministry of Commerce to visit the Port of Long Beach. With the participation of Madam, Representative of the Ministry of Tourism, Neak Oknha Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce, His Excellency Deputy Governor of Sihanouk Province, Delegation of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce, Officers of the Department of Private Sector Development, and Cambodian business leading companies and enterprises.

Honorary Consulate of Cambodia Mr. Kim Chha Hout Celebrated the 70th Years anniversary Cambodia Independence Day with the Honor guest His Excellency Buon Sarakmony, Secretary of State of Cambodia Ministry of Commerce and California State treasurer Fiona Ma and other distinguished guests from Cambodia.

Honorary Consul General, Mr. Kim Chha Hout, has been newly elected as the President of Cambodian Chamber of Commerce for the State of California as per the announcement on November 10th, 2023.

The First Annual Cambodia Business Expo and Trade Event was held on November 9, 2023 in Long Beach, California. Over 170 representatives from companies in Cambodia participated in displaying and promoting Cambodia products and services. Cambodian food products were especially prominent at the show. Local attendees from the food industry were very active in discussions with Cambodian food producers.

Representatives from a number of government agencies and organizations participated in the program. These included the US Commerce Department, US ExIM Bank, Small Business Administration and the US Food and Drug Administration. The representatives showed strong interest in Cambodia after the event and indicated an interest in supporting expanding trade with Cambodia.

Debriefing discussions were conducted with the participants from Cambodia to learn about their experiences. This information will help to improve and direct future events to promote trade between Cambodia and the US. It will also help us determine what type of assistance to provide Cambodian businesses to improve their export potential.
