Todays article focuses on the League and Social Media.
In today's culture there is a method to communication.

As a director I will put the Dept on notice that they need to monitor the spaces our Officers work in. LAPD has had the luxury of Officers making do with a lack of resources and supplies. My article addresses my view of working conditions.

FOS: Working Conditions — Joe Massie Recently I had an eventful radio call. My partner and I arrived at a fraud investigation at a young lady’s home. We walked into her kitchen; it was a clean looking place with nothing out of place. The “suspect” was about 12 years old, and she sat across from us at her kitchen table. She looked...
Some of our members tell me they do not believe the LAPPL Board of Directors does enough for them. I have been told by some that they think the Board is not out for the memberships best interest.
As a delegate for the last 10 years I have seen the hard work that our directors do to ensure they are making decisions to benefit us.
As a delegate I have also seen the membership reject contracts only to send the MOU negotiating team back to the city and return with a better contract.
I want to hear your thoughts on the responsibilities of our Board of Directors.
What are your expectations for our LAPPL Board of Directors?
Delegates are the backbone of the League!

You have a few years on the LAPD and the most you know about the politics of the department is that the Chief is Edward Davis...
I remember 9/11/2001 like it was yesterday.

I remember the feeling of confusion and helplessness.
I remember joining the US Navy, proud to serve the nation that banded together after the attack in New York.

ICYMI My article about the MOU

MOU — Joe Massie The MOU is probably the most important and talked about function of our League. The MOU is how we negotiate our pay, enhance working conditions, and protect our rights. I can only imagine the advantage the city would have if we had no MOU or a weak negotiating team. I came on the LAPD

Surveys, Surveys, Surveys — Joe Massie Do you remember in 2017 when the LAPPL purchased a piece of property for 3.7 million? They approved the purchase of 1312 W 8th St, an adjacent lot with uninhabited homes on it. The board intends to use the property to increase parking for members so they can use the League building for more events.
