Keiro is here to empower you with the tools, resources, and support you need to take charge of your health, help you care for an aging loved one, and connect you with culturally sensitive service providers, research, and education.

In response to the findings from the community needs survey and in our continuing efforts to strengthen the network of support for older adults and caregivers, the Keiro Board of Directors has decided to move forward with developing financially sustainable board and care homes that reflect our communityโs needs for additional memory support.

This is a reminder to keep hydrated this summer! The temperatures are rising which means hydrating is more important than ever. According to U.S. Department of Health and Humane Services, heat-related deaths have been increasing in the U.S., with approximately 1,602 occurring in 2021, 1,722 in 2022, and 2,302 in 2023.
๐งTips to Stay Hydrated: Set up hourly reminders, add a little bit of flavor whether it is coconut water or citrus, and challenge yourself with drinking at least 8 cups a day.
Last month, we had the honor of having a special guest speaker for our presentation at Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute. Lillian has been not only a long-time friend and supporter of Keiro but is also an advocate for since her husband was able to receive care from the program. It was wonderful having Lillian at our presentation!
