My Crippling Beliefs About Love (continued)
As a young girl at the age of 19 I moved to NYC. I lacked life experience and even worse I didn’t have dating or relationship “history”, I was such a great target for narcissists, abusers and pick up artists. I was easily fascinated with Ferrero Rocher chocolate candy box some 45 yr old man gave me on on a first date and then kissed me because I allowed and thought I now owned him some nice gesture, even if he wanted to kiss but I didn’t. I FELT THIS IS WHAT I OWNED HIM.
I then ended up in a relationship with a truck driver who I would see once a month for the next 1,5 years, but having daily check up calls on me, he was making sure I was staying home in the evenings. Work, school, home, phone call. Work, school, home, phone call… this period was neither exciting nor healthy. But I didn’t know any better, because I thought if he was nice to me, he took me out on days he was in town, and in return I needed to give him all my heart. I also need to EARN his love and attention. Here came another belief about love:
2. Love is conditional. EARN IT. “I need to do X to receive Y.” And if you receive attention return it 100x more

How To Build A Lasting Relationship?
Many couples have challenges at any point of their relationship. The truth is that a loving relationship is an investment of time and effort and true heart’s desire. When we enter a new relationship we have certain expectations from our partner but fail to realize that your partner is an individual with his/ her system of beliefs, the past experiences and emotional world.
So is it possible to start loving better and grow closer? Before you try a couples therapy, read some books on building relationships and deep connections. Here is my choice.

What are the love languages? We all give and receive love in 5 different ways: words of affirmation, acts of service, receiving gifts, quality time, and physical touch. These are called ‘love languages’ - a concept created by Dr. Gary Chapman through his long-time work as a marriage counsellor.
How long does it take to fall in love?
A 2013 survey conducted by YouGov and dating site eHarmony found that the time taken from the first date to saying “I love you” differs between men and women.
The average time for men to fall in love is 88 days, while those same feelings of true love take women 134 days. Another dating site, Elite Singles, did a poll in 2017 and found that 61 per cent of women believe in love at first sight, while 72 per cent of men do.
With the rise of dating apps, particularly during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic lockdowns, people have been finding love without even being in the same place.
A 2021 survey from dating app Bumble found that 67 per cent of people now believe it is possible to fall in love with someone you haven’t even met in person. So maybe the length of time it takes to fall in love is simply about how quickly you can respond to text messages.

Let me tell you a story about a war veteran, who attended an NLP training. When the trainer asked the audience who wanted to volunteer for a demonstration of pain release exercise, he raised his hand. Many attendees also raised their hands. But the war veteran seemed to be needing this therapy the most, as he sat in a wheelchair. So he was asked to come to the stage. When he rolled up, the NLP trainer asked him.
- Do you want to live a full abundant life? Travel, for example… See new places?
- Yes!
- Have you ever tried to get up and stand on your feet?
- Yes!
-So you can you walk ? Why are you sitting in a wheelchair?
- Well, if they find out that I have recovered, they will take away my benefits.
- So, then living in a chair for the exchange of government benefits is more cool than all the money you can earn while walking?
And more fun than traveling and seeing places?
- Silence ....
This situation describes the POWER OF SECONDARY GAINS. When you don’t do something, because you benefit by not doing.
Now imagine your secondary gains are as strong bull’s horns, or the steering wheel of a car. You hold tight onto them - the horns or the steering wheel. Afraid to let go - letting go off the horns or wheels is equal to death. Fear of death is the strongest fear.
I was once holding onto bad relationships, disempowering beliefs, failing business, and most important I had my VICTIMHOOD. I liked my weakness, it gave me the benefit of people feeling sorry for me. I didn’t know about it until I started the journey of self-development.

10 MOST ABSURD MENTAL DISORDERS
I decided to add some humor to my feed, however, below I describe real disorders that are not funny and need medical attention.
All these disorders are what I call : MIND disorders:
😅 Look for symptoms, you never know:
1. Alice in Wonderland syndrome (AIWS), also known as Todd syndrome - experience distortions in their perceptions of time, space, or how their bodies appear in the world around them.
2. Cotard’s Delusion - the patient's confidence that he is dead, parts of their bodies are missing, or even don’t exist.
3. Hoarding disorder- a behavioral disorder that manifests itself in the uncontrolled accumulation of unnecessary, old things.
4. Diogenes syndrome (DS) - you must have heard of Diogenes, who lived in a barrel. True, he did this not out of economy, but out of a desire of isolation. This disorder is characterized by extreme self-neglect and domestic squalor.
5. Apotemnophilia - an uncontrollable desire to get rid of certain parts of your body, a person may engage in biting nails or chewing dead skin on the lips; in more severe forms, a person can cripple himself by turning to self-cannibalism.
6. Androphobia is an abnormal fear of men. Men can also suffer from this irrational fear. People who suffer from androphobia usually take difficult and extreme measures to avoid men.
7. Boanthropy is perhaps the rarest mental disorder in which a person thinks he is a cow or a bull.
8. Mirror disease - an obsessive desire of a person to communicate with his reflection.
9. Paris syndrome - is defined as a sense of heavy disappointment by some individuals who – upon visiting Paris – experience extreme reality shock due to the city not living up to their expectations.
10. Koro syndrome- characterized by genital-related anxiety. Individuals experience extreme irrational paranoia about their pen*ses (for males) or vulva/nipples (for females)

A Google search yields more than 5 million results and shows solutions ranging from attending conferences to reading books to reciting one’s accomplishments in front of a mirror. What’s less explored is why imposter syndrome exists in the first place.
The term “impostor syndrome” was first coined in the 1970s, when researchers found out that many women in executive positions were more likely to believe that they weren’t intelligent or qualified enough for their positions. Imposter syndrome is loosely defined as doubting your abilities and feeling like a fraud. It disproportionately affects high-achieving people, who find it difficult to accept their accomplishments.
For example, “Imposter” brings a tinge of criminal fraudulence to the feeling of simply being unsure or anxious about joining a new team or learning a new skill. Women are more likely inclined to distrust their success, while men progress, their feelings of doubt usually abate as their work and intelligence are validated over time. Women experience the opposite. Even if women demonstrate strength, ambition, and resilience, our daily battles with microaggressions, especially expectations and assumptions formed by stereotypes and racism, often push us down.
According to one study, 75% of women in leadership positions have experienced imposter syndrome across their professional journeys, and if you're a woman of colour, that feeling is amplified.
The point being, even though impostor syndrome can feel very isolating, lots of people around you likely feel exactly the same way.
With that in mind, don’t be afraid to talk to others about how you’re feeling. Oftentimes the best way to deal with impostor syndrome is to simply start talking about it.
5 Most Effective Types Of Therapy
When people come into therapy they learn about their limitations and resources. The resources help them navigate through life easily and resolve many issues. Different specialists use different techniques to reveal those strengths and also help individuals to have breakthroughs in their lives. However, it's rather frustrating and confusing to choose the right therapy than making that choice with ease and clarity. I made a list of what I personally tested and like.
1. RRT- Rapid Transformational Therapy
similar to Hypnotherapy but unlike traditional hypnotherapy, RTT does not rely solely on positive reinforcement. Breakthroughs are achieved by understanding and fixing the root cause, rather than just addressing the symptoms of the presenting issue. This is why RTT has such a permanent all-pervasive impact, as it erases and eradicates issues at the core for life-changing benefits.
2. NLP- Neuro-Linguistic Programming
NLP is mental and emotional mastery to reprogram one’s mindset and take control of emotions and thoughts. It’s a system of strategies modelled off successful individuals to achieve a desired outcome and can be applied in the area of business management, interpersonal communication, or self-development.
3. CBT- Cognitive behavioral therapy
a form of psychotherapy that focuses on modifying dysfunctional emotions, behaviors, and thoughts by interrogating and uprooting negative or irrational beliefs. Considered a "solutions-oriented" form of talk therapy, CBT rests on the idea that thoughts and perceptions influence behavior.
4. EMDR- eye movement desensitization and reprocessing
Therapy is a highly effective trauma treatment. This evidence-based therapy is the most researched of trauma therapies and is grounded in neuroscience. EMDR can treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other issues of trauma.
5. Bioenergetics
the revolutionary new therapy that uses the language of the body to heal the problems of the mind. All techniques are aimed to help a person become aware of their limiting breathing and movement patterns and blocked expressive actions. The person learns about the flow of inner excitation and how it can be blocked because of childhood experiences (Dr. Lowen). The core principles of Bioenergetics include vibration and motility, and grounding and breathing (Bioenergetic Analysis, n.d.)
