Please Vote to make James Burks and Leimert Park a Cultural Treasure with the City of Los Angeles.
Cultural Treasures of South LA is a cultural asset mapping and activation initiative that gives South Los Angeles Promise Zone residents a participatory platform to spotlight the artists, sites, cultural practices, and tradition bearers that they deem significant, illuminating the rich cultural tapestry that helps communities thrive. It's ok to vote for more than one!
All submissions will be included in an interactive map and database spotlighting the cultural treasures that make the South LA Community thrive. Your answers will help preserve the South LA culture that we've all come to know and love.
Here are some ways to get involved:
Complete and share the Cultural Treasures of South LA survey with your friends, family, networks, or organization! Respondents that complete the full survey will be entered into a bi-weekly raffle of three $50 VISA gift cards. Survey responses accepted now until 09/30/2022:
