Our Story
Welcome!
It can be difficult to be a Latina teenager born in LA. As you begin to discover who you are and find a place in this society you are bombarded with multiple influences at home, school, through the media and amongst peers. Your journey to self discovery becomes a web of confusion. You can't fully connect to the American culture or the Latino Culture. You are in the middle of two cultural identities.
It is imperative to find your identity and your position in this world or how we as Latinos got here in the first place. Our history is seldom told and therefore unappreciated. We gain a sense of value by knowing our rich history and it empowers us to move forward with pride and gain a sentiment of solidarity towards our diverse cultural humanity, thus driving us to promote national unity.
