(FITTED) is a student-initiated, student-run retention project operating under the Community Programs Office (CPO) . Rooted in the CPO’s framework of social justice and equity for all, FITTED’s efforts on-campus aim to raise awareness and consciousness of holistic health – a main indicator of student retention. FITTED accomplishes this through free group exercise classes, personal training, on- and off-campus workshops that encourage active lifestyles, and a weekly drop-in session (FITTED EATS) that features education and discussions on nutrition, wellness, and healthier living. Understanding that there is a correlation between socio-economic status and access to health resources, FITTED’s presence on campus aims to bridge that gap to ensure students from underprivileged backgrounds still have an opportunity to take control of their health. Whose ready to take the rock to the rim? Will you be the next Lebron James or Steph Curry? Have you never played basketball but want to give it a try? [FITTED] will be hosting a basketball tournament Friday, May 3rd. The tournament will be taking place in the SAC Gym Basketball Courts from 6pm to 8pm. We welcome everybody to RSVP regardless of experience so they can come learn about the awesome sport of basketball. Snacks and prizes will be given out. Hope to see y’all there!

Have you ever walked into the gym and had no clue how any of the exercise machines work? Don’t worry, [FITTED] has got your back! On April 19th, 2019 [FITTED] will be hosting a workshop teaching you how to use the various exercise machines to get a killer workout in! We will be located in the John Wooden Circuit Room near the lockers! If you don’t know where that is do not worry [FITTED] team members will be near entrance to help guide you! Be sure to RSVP to let us know how excited you are for this workshop!

Hope everyone is having a restful & memorable Presidents Day Weekend ✨ Although our workout service is canceled today, we have created a special workout that can be done in your own space!

The workout will consist of 4 exercises. Each exercise will be 1 minute long with a 20 second transition in between exercises. Once all four exercises are done, this will be considered the completion of 1 cycle. In total, 4-5 cycles should be done and there is a minute rest in between cycle.

1️⃣Burpee Pushups: begin standing on the floor and transition into a push-up. Once the push up is done stand up backup & jump as high as you can. Repeat the entire movement until time is up.
2️⃣Split Squats: Position back leg on an elevated surface. As the back knee drops the body should maintain an upright posture. The leading knee should be flexed about 90 degrees but should not pass the leading foot. Repeat the same movement and alternate legs.
3️⃣Dips: Place hands on an elevated surface and feet on the ground. Bend at the elbows till about 90 degrees and push yourself back up while remaining upright.
4️⃣Shoulder Taps: Assume a plank position with the back flat & core tight. With one arm touch the opposite shoulder while making sure the hips are straight. Repeat the same movement with the opposite arm and opposite shoulder.

Our application for POW (Promoting Optimal Wellness) is now out! You are able to submit an application if you have completed one quarter with FITTED!

You get free training sessions throughout the quarter with a Personal Trainer! All this can be yours if you simply submit all forms to our [FITTED] office, which is in Students Activities Center (SAC) 105J by 5:00 PM Wednesday, January 16th, 2019.

You can also see us today during our orientation in SAC Basement Room 3 from 5-6PM! If you have any questions feel free to contact us or stop by our office!
