Undergraduate Research Internship: The Chinatown History Project

We are looking for two undergraduate research interns to help with the research for our Chinatown History Project; this is a multidisciplinary investigation of the original Los Angeles Chinatown which was demolished in the 1930s to make way for Union Station. The appointment is for this academic year. The research interns would put in approximately 200 hours of work – spread out as she or he wishes --- and the position comes with a $2000 stipend. Much of the work would be pursued in the archives of the Seaver Center at the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History, which is just across Exposition Blvd. from USC.

Interested students can send a paragraph describing their studies at USC and their reasons for wanting to join our research team. If interested, please reach out directly to Professor Bill Deverell at [email protected].

Best of luck!
