Great story …

NOTHING LAST FOREVER

No matter how long it lives, the Greatest Lion will eventually die miserably. That's the world.

At their Peak, they rule, chase other animals, catch, devour, gulp and leave their crumbs for hyenas. But age comes fast.

The old Lion can't hunt, can't kill or defend itself. It roams and roars until it runs out of luck. It will be cornered by the hyenas, nibbled at and eaten alive by them. They won't even let it die before it is dismembered.

Life is short. Power is ephemeral. Physical beauty is short-lived, I have seen it in lions. I have seen it in old people. Everyone who lives long enough will become weak and very vulnerable at some point.

Therefore, let us be humble. Help the sick, the weak, the vulnerable and most importantly never forget that we will leave the stage one day.

'Live free and die'? The sad state of U.S. life expectancy 04/03/2023

Interesting study showing Americans life expectancy drops to 76 years old while western countries average 82.4 years.

Causes include obesity, poor diet, lack of exercise but also teen pregnancy, drug overdoses, HIV, fatal car crashes, injuries, and gun violence. Two years difference in life expectancy probably comes from fi****ms . Another big factor is accounted for by the opioid epidemic.

'Live free and die'? The sad state of U.S. life expectancy A decade after a landmark report on Americans' shorter lives, the problem has only gotten worse. Unlike other wealthy nations, U.S. life expectancy has not bounced back from the pandemic.

Omicron propels a dramatic spike in COVID cases across California; hospitalizations rise 12/28/2021

There has been an explosion of omicron cases. This virus is much more contagious than Delta. California reported an average of 11,914 new coronavirus cases per day — a 73% jump from two weeks ago.

Data from South Africa and the United Kingdom demonstrate that vaccine effectiveness against infection for two doses of an mRNA vaccine is approximately 35%. A COVID-19 vaccine booster dose restores vaccine effectiveness against infection to 75%.

We are seeing exponentially rising numbers of hospitalized patients with COVID-19. The overwhelming majority of these patients are unvaccinated. Those who are vaccinated are less likely to be hospitalized, less likely to require mechanical ventilation and are less likely to die. See the diagram below which illustrates the difference between vaccinated and non-vaccinated hospitalized patients with Covid19.

The COVID-19 Vaccine and Pregnancy: What You Need to Know 07/29/2021

Will the COVID-19 vaccine affect my fertility?

No, getting the COVID-19 vaccine will not affect your fertility. Women actively trying to conceive may be vaccinated with the current COVID-19 vaccines — there is no reason to delay pregnancy after completing the vaccine series.

Confusion around this issue arose when a false report surfaced on social media, saying that the spike protein on this coronavirus was the same as another spike protein called syncitin-1 that is involved in the growth and attachment of the placenta during pregnancy. The false report said that getting the COVID-19 vaccine would cause a woman’s body to fight this different spike protein and affect her fertility. The two spike proteins are completely different, and getting the COVID-19 vaccine will not affect the fertility of women who are seeking to become pregnant, including through in vitro fertilization methods.

During the Pfizer vaccine tests, 23 women volunteers involved in the study became pregnant, and the only one in the trial who suffered a pregnancy loss had not received the actual vaccine, but a placebo.

Hemorrhoids -

There are two types of hemorrhoids: Internal (inside) and External (outside).

External or Thrombosed External Hemorrhoids develop around the skin of the verge or edge of the a**s and are usually responsible for the pain and swelling. This is because External Hemorrhoids can cause the skin around the a**s to swell and fill up with blood clot causing sudden and severe pain. A painful a**l mass may appear suddenly and get worse during the first 48 hours. The pain generally lessens over the next few days. You may notice bleeding if the skin on top opens.

Internal hemorrhoids, on the other hand, form within the a**s beneath the lining. Painless bleeding and protrusion during bowel movements are the most common symptoms. Bright red blood spots are seen on the toilet paper or drops of bright red blood are seen in the toilet bowl. However, an internal hemorrhoid can cause severe pain if it is completely pr*****ed. This means it has slid out of the a**l opening and cannot be pushed back inside.
