THIS is home birth. Can you feel the love in the room? With each one of these beautiful babies she created the safety necessary to surrender to the birth process; his steady support was unwavering. Grace, wisdom, trust in action. There are no other words. 💗

The bittersweet 6 week postpartum visit. Midwives bear witness to so much: the emotions, growth, and transformation of pregnancy and birth; also the emotions, growth, and transformation of a family. Then we get to bear witness to some most excellent parenting of this exquisite baby and say goodbye, for now.

The Golden Hour is not only the first 60 minutes postpartum nor is it just that delicious late afternoon sunlight that helps prevent jaundice. It is any moment of stillness, tranquility, and peace where the bond between mother and baby is felt deeply.

The connection between generations is strong! Grandmother wept as she caught her grandson, throughout reminding her daughter that she is a WARRIOR!

We love siblings at a birth, they can participate as much as they feel comfortable. Then they do their homework. From Evie, age 8.

✨An honor to catch this little one just after the New Year…✨Welcome Earthside tiny friend! 🌕 Your mama KNEW what she wanted…manifested it and got it! So grateful to be a part of this birth story.

Wow! This is a total game changer….if we could pasteurize the donor milk and also benefit from the antibodies in our own milk….it would open up so many possibilities!
