The LAKMA Philharmonic Orchestra & Chorus, conducted by Maestro Im Sang Yoon, will hold a benefit concert to aid earthquake-stricken Turkey on August 5th at 7:30 PM at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
The concert features Verdi's Requiem performed by world-renowned Soprano Burcu Hanchi, Bass-baritone Burak Bilgili from the New York Mets, Tenor Wi Young Oh from the Korean community, and Mezzo-soprano Julia Metzler from LA Opera as soloists.
Additionally, Turkish pianist AyseDeniz Gokcin will perform her original composition "Kelton & Chaos"

4/2/2023 LAKMA 종려주일 찬양집회 오렌지 카운티 영락교회 - 라크마 챔버 합창단(단장 최승호•음악감독 윤임상)이 고난주간을 맞아 찬양 연주회를 개최하고 예수 그리스도의 십자가 고난과 부활의 영광을 깊은 감동으로 연주했다.
지난 2일, 오렌지카운티영락교회(담임 김경섭 목사)에서 진행된 연주회에서 라크마 합창단은 풍성한 화음과 진한 신앙고백으로 예수 그리스도의 십자가 고통과 죄인을 위한 대속의 사랑을 노래했다.
이날 전문 합창 기술과 예술적 감성을 통해 인상적인 무대를 선보인 라크마 합창단은 다채로운 레퍼토리로 참석자들의 마음과 귀를 사로잡았다.

Our Story
The Los Angeles Korean-American Musicians’ Association’s (LAKMA) mission statement is, “We help People through Music!” LAKMA is a nonprofit organization composed of Korean-American musicians throughout California. We strive to financially support nonprofit organizations through our various musical events and concerts. we also have a tradition of sharing messages of hope and love by putting on musical events for needy communities. On December 8th, 2012, Our “Baroque Night of Christmas” benefit concert raised and donated $10,000 for the Korean American Family Service Center. On July 12, 2013, we hosted a benefit peace concert for the Han-Schneider International Children’s Foundation at the Music Center’s Walt Disney Hall in Downtown Los Angeles. This concert had raised and donated $20,000 for the HSICF. We contiuousely try to support the communities with your help in the future.
LAKMA(Los Angeles Korean-American Musicians’ Association)은 캘리포니아에서 활동하는 음악인들과 이들을 후원하고자 하는 음악 애호가들이 2012년 1월에 모여서 만든 음악 단체로 음악이라는 도구를 통하여 나눔과 후원이 필요한 기관을 돕는데 힘쓰는 비영리 단체 입니다. LAKMA는 2012년에 12월 9일에 “Baroque Night of Christmas”라는 주제로 한인 가정 상담소 여성, 아동센터를 위한 자선음악회를 성공적으로 개최 했습니다. 2013년 7월 12일에는 세계적인 솔리스트 김영미, 이아경, 김영복님들을 모시고 월트 디즈니 콘서트 홀에서 현재 탈북 고아들을 돕고 있는 The Han-Schneider International Children’s Foundation을 도와 연주회를 통해서 $20,000을 기부했습니다. 앞으로도 도움이 필요한 단체들을 음악이라는 매체를 통해서 도울수 있도록 많은 후원과 격려를 부탁 드립니다.
