🧘🏽♂️A teacher once said to me that mediation is a time to sit with your very best friend: YOU!
Most days, my meditation practice ranged from 5-30 minutes. I aim for daily practice but I don’t get down on myself if I miss a day.
➡️Nobody keeps score. It’s purely for my own benefit and pleasure.
You don’t need many accessories to get where you need to go. You just need to get ready for some well-deserved “me time.”
Meditation is a “practice,” and there’s no need to master it or rate the experience like a Yelp reviewer. 🧎♀️ - Valerie
Acupuncture is a time-tested practice that can help maintain our well-being and help treat a variety of medical conditions. Here are a few differences between a licensed acupuncturist and a dry needling practitioner.
Extensively trained and licensed practitioners undergo THOUSANDS of hours of training to identify symptoms, diagnose conditions, and use correct techniques with sterile, thin needles. Dry needling practioners spend about 52 hours - total.
Acupuncturists insert thin needles at points along meridian lines, represneting bodily organs, and they are inserted less deeply into the body. Dry needling practioners are inserted in "trigger points" in your muscle or tissue.
There are national licensing for acupuncturists and they maintain a list of certified and licensed practioners. There are no regulations or credentialing board to certify dry needling practioners.
Acupuncture is NOT one-size-fits-all. When you see us, your treatment is customized to your body, your conditions, your input. It's why we take the time to get to know you during the new patient intake before we get you on a chair.

Help your spleen and stomach maintain balance and harmony. Add these 3 herbs and spices to aid your digestion this season.
🫖Ginger: try grating ginger root to put into hot water for tea. You can also add it to marinades for meat. Headed on a boat ride or road trip- bring along candied ginger to help with nausea.
🪹Cardamom: Cardamom warms and transforms dampness (mucus & phlegm). It promotes movement of qi and helps stop vomiting and diarrhea.
🌱Hawthorn Berry: In China, there are candies made of the paste of hawthorn berries. The berries are sour and help digest fats.
