Patrick Tighe was a feature speaker at the Design for Dignity Conference: Building Equitable Housing For All.

The conference aimed to reach consensus and prioritize workable solutions to address the ongoing housing affordability and homelessness challenges.

The session entitled “The Balancing Act”, moderated by Frances Anderton (), also included Dana Cuff, (), Christian Ahumada (), Adam Murray () and Shane Phillips (UCLA Lewis Center for Regional Policy Studies). The AIA LA (aia_la) conference with Will Wright () continues this Friday, August 2 at Center for Communities – 4450 West Adams Blvd. LA, CA.

Thrilled to have secured entitlements for this project in Pasadena this week. The building offers 25 residences (with affordable) and is located on Union and MarVista. Landscaping plays a huge role in this design, the building is set back from the street to allow for a courtyard garden that connects the property to the green spaces of the neighborhood.

Pacific Landing has met ambitious goals for water efficiency, healthy materials, air filtration, ventilation, and stormwater management.

The design of the building and its systems achieve energy reduction far below typical buildings of this type utilizing all-electric tactics mitigating any fossil fuels and even an intricate roof-covered solar photovoltaic system.
