🐾 Transformation Tuesday! 🐾

Sweet Daffodil! 🌼 At 14-weeks-old, and just 14-lbs, Daffodil came to Two Hands Four Paws with severely bowed front legs. Experts believe her deformity was caused by something called Puppy Carpal Laxity syndrome which was compounded by being confined in a crate that was too small, preventing her from standing up and forcing her legs to splay and bow out. But look at her now! 📸✨ Thanks to our dedicated team and the support from all of you, Daffodil’s legs are on their way to being straight! Next steps are continuing to strengthen those legs and we are hopeful that in a few more weeks she will be good to go! In terms of her personality she just adores every rescue dog we have here at Two Hands Four Paws and is the definition of a social butterfly. She loves everyone and we love her right back. She plays, she naps, she gives kisses, then she plays again (with dogs 10x her size…she is CONFIDENT), and is extremely smart.

Positive news! Cedar has improved dramatically since his hospitalization. Here’s where we are after his visit to the hospital today: His attitude is great. He doesn’t seem to be in pain. The blood that was collecting in his abdomen has mostly dissipated. And we will have more test results soon as we try to figure out what is wrong with him. So, yay!
He has lost several pounds though, so now our big task is to get some weight on him. Dinner is served!
We love this sweet puppy!

Bucky is from our partner rescue Animal Rescue Mission. He is being fostered by wonderful people who have learned so much about this handsome boy. Well worth checking out!

We wanted to give an update on the Arizona hoarding situation that many of you have been following. As you know, we have been working tirelessly to recover not only our own Chester and Rodolfo, but any others that were caught up in this horrible situation. It is with profound sadness that we have to inform you that Rodolfo was put to rest last week. His wounds were so severe that the only merciful thing to do was to let him go. He could not be saved. It has been absolutely heartbreaking for everyone involved. The good news is that Chester is doing well and we were able to transport him back to LA along with Bailey, another rescue we have taken in, as well as Lulu, who showed up today to get fitted for a new set of wheels. While this has been truly the most painful situation for us, it has only strengthened our resolve to help as many animals as possible. Thanks to everyone for your support, encouragement, and understanding as we’ve dealt with this. It’s something we wouldn’t wish on anyone but it’s unfortunately all too common. Also, thanks to the AHS, The Animal Rescue Mission, the transporters, our local veterinarians, and the staff at 2h4p for all the hours and love you’ve given.
