Today we release our newest 117 Series: Scotch Cask Finish.

George Garvin Brown was proud of his Scottish heritage. To celebrate these Gaelic roots this small batch has been uniquely finished in Scotch Whisky casks at 93 proof. These Speyside sourced sherry and wine maturation and finishing casks highlight Old Forester’s natural fruit character that is a result of fermentation with the oldest yeast strain in the industry.

- 3/4oz Lemon Juice

Put the old in Old Fashioned:

- 2 oz. Old Forester 86 Proof
- 0.5 oz. Demerara Syrup (2:1)
- 2 dashes Angostura™ Bitters

Stir with ice, strain into double old fashioned glass with fresh ice. Garnish with wide orange peel, oils expressed over the cocktail.

Today we release our newest 117 Series: Bottled In Bond. The 1897 Bottled in Bond Act required
that each bottling be composed of
barrels filled during a single distillation
season. This release is from the wet and
warm late Spring of 2014.

Today we celebrate 5-years since our return to Louisville's historic Whiskey Row and it's only fitting that it would happy on National Bourbon Day!

Did you know? Louisville’s Main Street was the hub of the Bourbon business in Kentucky. Once home to 89 Bourbon distilling companies, only one of those companies has operated continuously to present day – Brown-Forman and its founding brand, Old Forester. Today, Old Forester Distillery is housed in the same building that the brand called home prior to Prohibition.
