Day 4 of Music Camp is over, and now we only have one day left! π
Day 3 of Music Camp, and we got to move to THE STAGE today! It's all coming together! We rehearsed our songs, ate delicious snacks, made more crafts, whacked each other with pool noodles, did some folk dancing, and dove deeper into the story of Esther. Did you know that God has a special plan for YOUR life, just like He did for Esther? She became queen for a specific purpose - "for such a time as this" - and this current season in your life has a purpose also! β€οΈ
Bible Gateway passage: Esther 4:14 - New International Version For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your fatherβs family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?β
Day 2 of Music Camp was a blast! We learned more about Esther and how her trust in the Lord led to the deliverance of the Israelites from Haman's evil plot. Our God uses ordinary people in amazing ways, and He is always at work - even when we can't see Him!
πΆ"God is our God, we will proclaim! God is our God forever, amen!"π΅ (That's one of our songs. We'll sing it for ya on Sunday.)
Day 1 of Music Camp is in the books! Rehearsal, games, snacks, more rehearsal, folk dancing, crafts, even more rehearsal... π
We'd love to have you join us this Sunday at 9am or 11am in our gym as we present "Malice in the Palace: The Story of Esther." Bring a friend along, and cheer for these hardworking kids! π΅ππ

Last night, 23 awesome kids joined us for singing, dancing, praying, and learning at Kids Worship Night! We talked about WHY we worship God, HOW we worship God, and the many aspects of our services here at St. Paul. Thank you to our amazing adult leaders, and thanks to our kids and tweens for participating wholeheartedly! β€οΈ
Last night, our tweens sorted through food donations and labeled each item with its expiration date! This food will go to those who visit our Resource Center (available Mondays & Wednesdays 10a-1p). Thanks to our church family and generous community members for donating all this food, and thanks to our tweens for helping out! β€οΈ
Read about our recent Tweens service project in this week's newsletter! We are so proud of our kids and their love for those around them. β€οΈ
Advent has been a full and enriching time at St. Paul! We collected gifts for students at the Waller-Williams School, shared the joy of the season at our Advent worship service, enjoyed fellowship with our tweens, ate breakfast with the one and only Santa, sang carols as we distributed clothing and toiletries in Old Louisville, had lots of fun at our choir holiday parties, and colored four beautiful posters as we explored the themes of hope, joy, peace, and love.
This Sunday, we will celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ at 10am, 5:30pm, and 11pm - "A thrill of hope! The weary world rejoices, for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!" We hope to see you there. β€οΈπ―οΈππ΅
THANK YOU for making Breakfast with Santa a festive, enjoyable, magical time! We hope you had fun and were able to inhale some Christmas cheer as you inhaled your pancakes... ππ₯π πΌ
The stockings are hung by the chim-... forget it, that's not true, BUT we hope to see you at Breakfast with Santa tomorrow morning! Pancakes, free Santa photos, games, crafts - and the kids can buy gifts for friends and family in our Holiday Shop! πββοΈππ
During worship on Sunday, we finished our first Advent coloring poster, and we got to show it to our church family at the end of the service! Now we're working on our second one - and we invite you to participate! It will be available with markers, colored pencils, and crayons in McAdams Hall during Wesley Night dinner. Thank you for celebrating Advent with us in this special, creative way. π¨β€οΈ

On Sunday, join us as we celebrate HOPE, the first week of Advent. Help us finish coloring this poster during our 9am worship service! It will be available with markers, colored pencils, and crayons at the back of the worship space.
Our 4 completed posters will be displayed during our Christmas Eve services (10am, 5pm, and 10:30pm). π
Yesterday, a Thanksgiving turkey visited one of our Sunday School classes to remind us of all the things we're thankful for! We also celebrated Christ the King Sunday - the final Sunday of the liturgical year. We praise you, Jesus, for being the one true King! π¦π
Tonight at Tweens, we ate pizza, played GLOWSTICK GAGA BALL, and practiced making a few of the crafts that we'll have available at Breakfast with Santa! π

Our next Tweens (for 4th-6th grade) is December 17th, 5-7pm. This age group would also be great at ringing the Salvation Army bell with us on December 23rd, and we're doing a service project at the Ronald McDonald House on January 4th - more info at https://www.stpaulchurchky.org/kids/ βοΈπβ€οΈ
