Our theme this month has been “All Things Animals”! This week we studied marine life. Our students have learned about the oceanic habitat and the creatures that thrive there. Today we reviewed what we’ve learned & had a yummy snack to bring it all together!

Yesterday was and, admittedly, we are a tad late in our acknowledgement. But only because we were busy doing all the things that make women amazing!
We could go on and on about all the things that make the women in our lives remarkable, but iykyk. If you don’t know, you simply need to step into our schools for 5 minutes to witness the grace, strength, love, and the intelligence that pours out of these women.

Our hearts are breaking for those impacted by the Smokehouse Creek fires. We pray for not only those impacted, but also first responders, medical personnel, and volunteers who are responding to our fellow Texans who are injured and displaced by this catastrophic event. We pray for the ranchers, farmers, and business owners whose livelihoods are in jeopardy. We pray for our state’s and nation’s leaders as they move forward with decisions on how best to help those in need.
We pray for winds to calm and for rain to come.

Babies eventually begin to enjoy interacting with peers & even find it others’ gestures, words, and noises amusing! Have you ever watched a couple babies chit-chat with each other?! As we go into Christmas Day, we hope to offer a quick reminder - the first Christmas was not spent surrounded by 8-ft trees, it was spent surrounded by livestock. There were no twinkling lights on rooftops, instead there were only the stars in the sky. There was no mountain of presents, simply the gift of a prophecy set into motion. So if you’re struggling with feeling overwhelmed or insufficient this Christmas, we hope you cling to this divine truth. Christ was born into nothing, to give us everything.
