To celebarate the opening of H-E-B and all the support they have given to area First Responders we will be raffling off this Kodi cooler filled with H-E-B goodies!

Tickets will be 1-$3 or 2-$5. Drawing will be held on Tuesday, October 27th @ 6:30pm. You can purchase tickets through Venmo.

National Thank a Police Officer Day 2020

We want to thank Lubbock Outdoor Media for giving us the opportunity to thank these men and women that sacrifice everyday and some that have given the ultimate sacrifice!

Thank you to everyone that purchased a billboard to honor an officer or a department! We are truly blessed to live on the South Plains!

The response to the billboard has been amazing and we got permission from the sign guy to extend the deadline to tomorrow at 1pm!!

A big thank you to Prosperity Bank and to all of the volunteers that helped put up the flags for the annual American Tribute. The field honors all first responders and the lives that were lost on 9/11. The flags will be up until next Friday, September 18th at Kastman Park. Volunteers came from Texas Department of Public Safety, Lubbock Fire Department, Lubbock Police Department, Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, Lubbock ISD, Lubbock Law Enforcement Citzens Academy, and Lubbock Texas - Your City Government

Frenship ISD

How GREAT is this?

South Plains Stars and Shields, a community group that supports local South Plains Law Enforcement, surprised our Frenship Police staff with gift bags and donuts this morning.

Stacy Harvey, one of the organizers of South Plains Stars and Shields, said giving back to Frenship Police has TONS of meaning to her, because her children attended, and are still attending Frenship.

"They do a thank-less job," Harvey said. "I think it's good for the students to have the presence of these men and women just to show that there is someone there if anything goes wrong or if they need help."

We attended the VFW’s Patriot’s Day memorial service today. Thank you for recognizing our local heroes, Reyna, Hill and Dawson.

On this day... 19 years ago 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift. None of them saw past 10:00am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.
