Please do not fall for internet scams. No one from our organization will ever ask for money to be sent to a paypal or zelle type account. For any assistance contact us through our website.
We have been recently informed that an account with the name of Donna Anarhlia has been contacting people posing as a member of our organization. That account is not, nor never has been a member of this organization. It appears that that account is posing as members of organizations all over the country and scamming people and other organizations and businesses.

In today's fast-paced world, finding ways to build resilience is more important than ever. Engaging in physical activities and hobbies can be a powerful way to strengthen our mental and emotional well-being. Whether it's the rush of a morning run, the calm of painting, the focus of gardening, or the joy of playing an instrument, these activities help us recharge, refocus, and rejuvenate.

Physical activities improve our overall health, boost our mood, and reduce stress. Hobbies, on the other hand, provide a creative outlet, a sense of accomplishment, and an opportunity to explore our passions. Together, they build resilience by fostering a balanced and fulfilling life.

We want to hear from you! What's your favorite physical activity or hobby that helps you build resilience?

Resilience is like having a superpower - it helps you bounce back from life's challenges. Resilience helps us manage stress, maintain mental health, and make positive choices. It's key to helping our children and teens avoid substance abuse.

How Can You Build Resilience?

* Strong Family Support: Having a supportive family can provide a solid foundation.
* Positive Peer Relationships: Good friends encourage and uplift you.
* Self-Belief and Confidence: Trust in your ability to handle challenges.
* Healthy Coping Skills: Activities like exercise, hobbies, or talking to someone you trust can make a big difference.

The profound impact of parents cannot be overlooked. As our children grow into tweens and teens they need us more, not less.

When parents engage in real conversations with their children about alcohol, va**ng, and other substances, they equip their children with the knowledge they need to make healthy decisions.

When parents are aware of the signs and symptoms of substance use - like changes in behavior or mood, grades dropping in school, spending less time with family or friends, and loss of interest in activities - they are prepared to intervene early and provide support and guidance.

Stay informed - Stay engaged. Your conversations and awareness make a difference.

Youth & Substance Use: Know the Facts!

Let's talk about the common substances used by youth and their effects -

Alcohol:
Impairs brain development, leads to risky behaviors, and can cause long-term health issues like liver damage. In the moment causes poor decision-making, accidents, and injuries. The human brain is not fully developed until sometime in your 20s. The earlier the onset of use, the greater the risks!

Ma*****na:
Affects mental health, impairs learning and memory, and can lead to lung issues.
In the moment can increase anxiety, impaired coordination, and altered judgment.

Tobacco/Nicotine:

Highly addictive, causes lung diseases and heart problems, and weakens the immune system. At the time of use will increase heart rate, blood pressure, and respiratory issues.

When we know better, we can do better.

These substances can have serious short- and long-term health effects. They impact academic performance and overall life opportunities. Early use can lead to dependency and harder-to-break habits.

Spread the word and help build a healthier community!

Did You Know? The impact of youth substance use is more significant than you might think.

Here are some eye-opening statistics on youth substance use and its consequences on health, education, and life outcomes:

📊 Health Impact:

Nearly 1 in 5 high school students reports using ma*****na in the past month.
Alcohol use: Over 30% of high school students have consumed alcohol within the past month, leading to risks such as impaired brain development and increased likelihood of accidents and injuries.
Early substance use can lead to addiction and serious health issues, including mental health disorders and chronic diseases.
📚 Educational Impact:

Students who use substances are more likely to struggle academically and have lower grades.
Substance use is linked to higher rates of absenteeism and dropout rates, affecting future opportunities.

🏠 Life Outcomes:

Youth substance use increases the risk of involvement with the juvenile justice system.
It can also lead to long-term socioeconomic challenges, including difficulties in securing employment and housing.
But here's the good news: We can change this. By building resilience and providing the right support, we can help our youth make healthier choices and create brighter futures.

Stay tuned for more information, resources, and ways you can get involved in our campaign!
