Roast Chicken With Spring Vegetables
What a delicious looking recipe! It provides the full meal, so you don't have to worry about side dishes! It is always a great idea to add vegetables to your meals! http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/food-network-kitchens/roast-chicken-with-spring-vegetables-recipe/index.html
foodnetwork.com Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F. Rinse the chicken and pat dry. Season with salt and pepper, then place skin-side up on a rimmed baking sheet. Squeeze 1/2 lemon over the chicken and drizzle with 1 tablespoon olive oil. Roast 15 minutes.
When you buy vegetables, do they seem to go bad quickly? If you buy small amounts of vegetables when you need them, then you can make sure you are eating the foods instead of throwing them away!
Need a way to eat more vegetables? Try adding shredded or chopped vegetables to lasagna, meat loaf, mashed potatoes, pasta sauce, and rice dishes.
Don't like the taste of plain vegetables? Try this orange sauce to add zest to your veggies! http://www.bhg.com/recipe/vegetables/orange-sauced-broccoli-peppers/
Do your kids not want to eat veggies? Make healthy eating fun by adding a "vegetable face" to a potato (using cherry tomatoes, peas and low-fat cheese) or a pizza (add healthy toppings to create a silly face). Let the laughs roar!
Veggie Tip of the Day: Want a crunchy snack? Instead of reaching for the potato chips, try some crunchy vegetables with your favorite low fat dressing!
