Requesting a transfer for the 2024-2025 school year:
ELEMENTARY FIFTH GRADE STUDENTS who are currently on a transfer and wish to continue in the feeder pattern for middle school DO NOT need to submit a new transfer.
MIDDLE SCHOOL EIGHTH GRADE STUDENTS who are currently on a transfer and wish to continue in the feeder pattern for high school DO NOT need to submit a new transfer.

Food insecurity can impact students in many ways. Fortunately, we have wonderful partners who support our district by providing food for weekends and holidays. We recently visited with Calvary Lubbock about how they support Lubbock ISD.

8th graders from O.L. Slaton Middle School joined us for our Lubbock ISD CTE Lunch 'n Learn in our studio at the Byron Martin Advanced Technology Center. Students learned about our Audio/Video Production courses and created their own podcast segment!

3rd Graders at Centennial Elementary School showcased their learning with a publishing party. They worked all semester with students from Texas Tech University College of Education to create their books. We visited campus to see how it benefits both groups!

What is LISD-TV?
LISD-TV has been serving the students, staff, and community shareholders of the Lubbock Independent School District for more than 30 years. The mission has been two-fold; serving as a training ground for high school students, and serving the community as a window to the assets of the Lubbock Independent School District.
The program has grown from a single course in a classroom into a fully functional 24/7 television station that can be viewed worldwide. Courses range from Introduction to TV and Advanced TV to a practicum course. Several hours of original programming are offered each week including High School Sports Live produced using a cutting-edge mobile production truck.
Many Lubbock ISD students have gone on to careers within the television industry equipped with the experience and skills gained at LISD-TV. The staff is composed of former LISD-TV students, broadcast professionals and educators with one goal in mind; to teach students the television industry and create quality, entertaining and meaningful programming.
With the support of the Lubbock community and the talented staff, teachers and students, LISD-TV has grown into a leader in television production and education.
