What is LISD-TV?

LISD-TV has been serving the students, staff, and community shareholders of the Lubbock Independent School District for more than 30 years. The mission has been two-fold; serving as a training ground for high school students, and serving the community as a window to the assets of the Lubbock Independent School District.

The program has grown from a single course in a classroom into a fully functional 24/7 television station that can be viewed worldwide. Courses range from Introduction to TV and Advanced TV to a practicum course. Several hours of original programming are offered each week including High School Sports Live produced using a cutting-edge mobile production truck.

Many Lubbock ISD students have gone on to careers within the television industry equipped with the experience and skills gained at LISD-TV. The staff is composed of former LISD-TV students, broadcast professionals and educators with one goal in mind; to teach students the television industry and create quality, entertaining and meaningful programming.

With the support of the Lubbock community and the talented staff, teachers and students, LISD-TV has grown into a leader in television production and education.
