After visiting with our contact at Ruidoso Downs Race Track & Casino and monitoring fire conditions, the races have yet to be canceled this Saturday. However, we have decided to CANCEL Red Raider Weekend in Ruidoso this weekend. All those who purchased tickets will be contacted regarding refunds and/or the option of contributing to local relief efforts for Ruidoso residents. Although it is disappointing to cancel this popular event, we’re far more concerned with the seriousness of the situation and everyone’s safety. Again, our hearts and prayers are with the Ruidoso community during this difficult time.
It's Tuesday so you know what that means Red Raiders … TRIVIA! We have 2 spirit organizations on campus, Saddle Tramps and High Riders. The High Riders is a women's student spirit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting Texas Tech women's athletics. They attend women's basketball, volleyball, softball, soccer, and tennis events.
This week's question is: When did the High Riders officially become a campus organization?

Texas Tech Night at the Texas Rangers was a ball! ⚾️
We love listening to those bells ring! In 1936, the Victory Bells were given to Texas Tech as a class gift. The bells rang for the first time at graduation. It is said that after the win over TCU the following year, the bells rang throughout the night, keeping Lubbock residents awake! Thereafter, the bell-ringing was limited to 30 minutes. The SaddleTramps and High Riders ring the bells after Texas Tech victories and on other special occasions.
It’s National Best Friends Day Red Raiders! Send us pictures of you and your besties at your favorite Tech events or favorite memories from your time at TTU with your best friends!
