We are so excited for the summer ministry! Many of the kids we reach during these month have never heard the gospel message or had a chance to respond to it. We will train teenagers this summer to go out into the community and teach Bible clubs to kids. There are several teenagers who are raising their own support to work in this ministry. Please support our teenagers this summer by eating at the Panda Express off 114th and Quaker anytime on Monday May 30th. Mention CEF and the code at checkout. Thank you for your faithfulness to CEF of the South Plains!
Thank God for our Good News Club volunteers! They are an incredibly dedicated and selfless group of people. Praise goes to God for placing a desire within them to serve these children on the South Plains! One night is not enough to thank you all for what you do. This Tuesday we spent the night recognizing the 124 volunteers who boldly go into the school week after week and share the Good News of Jesus with the children there. We celebrated the work that they have done in reaching out with the gospel to 640 children in 16 different locations throughout the area. Most importantly we celebrated the 108 (maybe more) children who turned from their sin and professed faith in Christ this school year. It was a blessing to hear testimonies from volunteers, principals, school faculty, and pastors as to the impact Good News Clubs have had on them as well as the children and families they serve.
We have finished two weeks of 5-Day Clubs already and are on to our third. Our teenagers have been faithful to show up and allow the Holy Spirit to direct them. We have seen two children make a decision to believe in Jesus as their Savior. Praise the Lord for the work that He has been doing in the lives of the children, teenagers and adults involved in this 5-Day Club ministry. Please pray that the enemy will not get a foothold in the lives of our teenagers and leaders. Also please pray that there would be no distractions when it comes to the invitation for the children to receive Jesus.
