January 13, 2024 we are speaking at VMX on the latest topics in Radiosurgery in Small Animals. On January 14, 2024 we will be speaking about CCL rupture and patella luxation, and how to fix it with TTA-RAPID and PLUX.
When I was a kid, my favorite TV show was MASH. Some of you may have never heard of it, but it was a story about Army doctors in Korea during the Korean War. Alan Alda played “Hawkeye”, the main character who was my “hero. Fast forward to 1983 when the last show aired, I dressed up as Hawkeye and my high school buddy dressed as BJ.
Alan Alda, Mike Ferrell, thanks for the memories.
Nothing like a c-section to end the day. This was a lot, 11 puppies. All lived.
Radiosurgery for small animal procedures is excellent for controlling hemostasis and improving postoperative morbidity. Read the article in and go to for more information on radiosurgical use in veterinary practice!
When you do so many different surgeries at so many clinics, you often wonder what happens when you are not there to monitor them 24/7? Are they recovering? Are they over-doing it? Are they having problems?
Now, we have a solution. We place these collars on our patients during the recovery process to monitor them at home 24/7. We are also using this technology on apparently healthy patients to look for “pre-disease” profiles.
Thank you for your interest in my page. I’ve been a veterinarian since 1994, and I have focused most of my time on learning and teaching more advanced aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery. I’ve been fortunate enough to see large parts of the world while lecturing on various topics in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery.
I am a diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practice in Canine and Feline, as well as a member of the Australian New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists with a focus on small animal surgery. This required an in-depth oral and written examination process and I completed it during COVID.
My practice model is different. We visit various clinics in the Western Washington area, using their hospital to help provide procedures for your pets, mostly in orthopedics and removing large tumors from legs while preserving the limb. We also offer o***y sparing surgery and vasectomy to appropriate canine patients.
As of 2023, we now offer basic examinations as well as routine spaying and neutering of pets at Renton Veterinary Hospital on Tuesdays. We also offer our more in-depth examinations here as well as other hospitals in the area.
O***y Sparing Surgery has become a popular procedure for our pet dogs. I’ve done the procedure many times and taught it to several veterinarians in the Western Washington area. There are many advantages to the procedure which can be viewed at O***y Sparing Spay and Vasectomy Info Group. If you would like your canine family member to have this alternative procedure performed, please contact us.
