Happy Anniversary, Dr. Kain Masutani! 🎉 Dr. Masutani is a Resident in Veterinary Dermatology at Animal Dermatology Clinic – Lynnwood. He joined the ADC family 2 years ago and we are so thankful to have him! 🤩

Dr. Masutani attended Creighton University for his undergraduate degree, receiving his BS in Biology in 2015. 🎓 He went on to attend St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada and complete his clinical year at Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine to earn his veterinary medicine degree. 🩺 Dr. Masutani practiced in Nevada and Oregon prior to completing a one-year rotating internship at Seattle Veterinary Specialist's, BluePearl in Washington. 🔬 He began his 3-year residency with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology at Animal Skin and Allergy Clinic in Lynnwood, Washington (now Animal Dermatology Clinic – Lynnwood).

In his free time, Dr. Masutani enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with friends and family at the beach. 🏖️

Happy Anniversary, Dr. Naomi Rich! 🎉 Dr. Rich is a Veterinary Dermatologist at Animal Dermatology Clinic – Lynnwood. She joined the ADC family 6 years ago and we are so grateful to have her! 🤩

Dr. Rich received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lewis & Clark College. She went on to earn a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin. 🎓 Dr. Rich focused on small animal and avian medicine, with a special interest in dermatology, pain management, and preventative care during her time in veterinary school. 🔬 She worked in an ocular pathology laboratory and did research at the International Crane Foundation in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Her research was published in the Journal of Zoo and Wildlife Medicine. 📚

Dr. Rich moved back to Washington state where she worked in a small animal private practice for several years. Under the mentorship of Dr. Duclos, she completed her residency at Animal Skin and Allergy Clinic in Lynnwood and achieved her diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD). 🤩

A fun fact about Dr. Rich is that she grew up in a household with a rabbit, a cat, birds, fish, lizards, a Brazilian tarantula, and a dog! 🐾 She was encouraged to follow her interests in becoming a veterinarian from an early age! 🩺

During her free time, Dr. Rich enjoys the outdoors, camping, skiing, bird watching, reading, and painting. 🎨

Happy Anniversary, Dr. David Duclos! 🎉 Dr. Duclos is a Veterinary Dermatologist at Animal Dermatology Clinic – Lynnwood. He joined the ADC family 33 years ago and we are so grateful to have him! 🤩

Dr. Duclos received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry from St. Martin’s College in Lacey, Washington, and earned his degree in Veterinary Medicine (cum laude) from Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. 🎓 He achieved his Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD). That same year, Dr. Duclos became the owner of the Animal Skin and Allergy Clinic near Mill Creek, Washington. 😊

Dr. Duclos has contributed to the advancements of veterinary dermatology through his teachings and research. 📚 He has also authored many articles, book chapters, and scientific papers on various topics. Dr. Duclos is also a frequent lecturer on continuing education programs to veterinarians and their staff locally as well as the United States, Canada, and Europe. 🌎

He is also one of the leading experts in the training and clinical use of C02 laser surgery in veterinary dermatology. 🔬 Dr. Duclos’ work led to the discovery of interdigital follicular cysts as one of causes of pododermatitis in dogs, and he developed a special procedure using the C02 laser to help cure the cause of this condition. 🐾
